Someone who claims to be in the know told me on Saturday that United's quoted attendance figures of 75K at home games is a fiction, and it's more like 60K but the 75 number is given routinely whatever the real figure is.

Can anyone tell me if this is true, or have I been misinformed?

Most clubs tend to quote tickets sold rather than numbers through the turnstiles. So if a few thousand rag S/T holders can't be arsed heading up the M6 they're still registered in the attendance.

Looks like Lisbon have announced it to the stock exchange

£16m + Nani on loan for a year.
Nani's wages paid for my Utd
So £22m

Reminds me of us pre Mancini

Pre-Roberto we did at least pick up Komps and Zaba for relative peanuts, they haven't signed anyone in that class yet.

100% true. My colleague worked the game and lets just say the attendance given to the media nowhere reflects the actual bums on seats. Not just the rags that do this though,City do,Arsenal do. Who cares.

I like gdm's saying.."Small time fucking cunts"

TBF It is a long drive for many thousands of them before they get to the M6

Portuguese and Argieball football experts absolutely ripping into Rojo. Saying he was very average before the World Cup and unexpectedly great in the World Cup. Now he may turn out to be a big success, but this has an aura of the classic "buy a World Cup star" transfer, à la El Hadji Diouf.

Stock Exchange statement: United pay initial €10m for Rojo to Sporting of which €4m goes to Spartak Moscow. Then 2 instaments of €5m.

But I thought they had £150 mill floating around...

yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh right.
