Regardless of what fucking academy they come from, for a club of your size they should be talented, trained and in tune enough with the entire clubs philoshiphee to beat a 3rd division side.

Your club is crumbling from within, the diarrhoea signing is a sticking plaster on a shit sandwich, your gonna have to eat it sooner or later

The govan pisscan had too much power...he ran the place from top to bottom, he scared the living shit out of everyone, no one stood up to him, he was the Pope at old Trafford .
Now he's gone your a toothless bald circus tiger that needs to be put down.

I really am loving this, however I'm tempering this with my desire for you to get back in the champions league ..so you can fail FFP' that would be ironic and hilarious beyond all the planets aligning and baby Jesus little penis

They are officially the most expensive squad in the league. And that's before you add about 50 M for blind and Vidal, they'll not only be the most expensive squad, but by quite some distance.

They're rationalizing it in three ways:
1. The dead horse about the source of the money. Theirs is "earned", etc etc
2. Wages. [Surely after the Rooney fiasco they don't have the high ground here?]
3. Trying to say that their spending has been spread out and includes players from a while back like Rooney and Anderson. [But those players were from a time when they were the ones inflating the market and breaking transfer records].

From the cafe thread on "costs of squads":

Depends on your outlook I guess.

My issue with Chelsea and (moreso) City and their spending has not purely been down to the quantity, it's been more to do with the source. We're spending money we've generated ourselves, not money handed to us by some billionaire benefactor.

Also to turn this argument around on them, if you adjust for inflation, wouldn't their squad be even more expensive? 10 years ago 30M was almost galacticoesque money.

When the dust settles from the aftermath of the MK Dons game, one alarming detail comes to the fore. United fielded during the 90 minutes no less than 10 academy players. Many of whom were playing their first ever competitive game in the first team. Looking at the immense ridicule from all sides of the media and football fraternity, can you ever see a day when EDS lads cross the road and play in the big house for City? Can you even contemplate a manager having the balls to take such a risk knowing the reaction if it goes wrong?

I recall when the class of 92 were dicked by Villa on the opening day of the season, when it was lorded that you can't win anything with kids. Good job nobody took any heed then. Now with the demand for signings who of a certain age and stature. Will we ever see a day when kids ever get a chance again?

didn't you post this earlier?

I think that he is doing an excellent job of exposing the weakness of his squad. Not just by formation but by using 28 players in just 3 games, he is saying to woodward and co, THIS IS IT! This is all you've got. You need to spend money now or the rest of the season is going to be a disaster. I think he is too smart to appear so clueless, but he almost looked smug as he sat watching the future prospects getting dicked. There is no way that someone so organised and methodical did not hand over his player requests prior to the WC, and he's been badly let down by a shambolic recruitment team. I really do think he is playing the long game here.

you ought to make your fucking mind up

or are you just a WUMming rag cock with nothing between your ears?

why is he still he then?
you mods do fuck all at times.

I remember almost 10-15 years ago they were blowing 25m on Veron, 20m on Van Nisterooy, 30m on Ferdinand, 30m on Rooney etc. I couldn't imagine what them fees would be today, nobody could touch them or match their obscene wages. Even when City and Spurs spent close to 40m in a couple of seasons 12 years ago that was considered a hefty sum, but we were light years away

What United spent on Rio Ferdinand 13 years ago, Spurs still haven't beaten that transfer fee. I'm sure that would be double in todays money either way!

Fergie will never admit it but he really wasted money on the likes of Young and Jones. I couldn't believe his tight owners gave him that much and he blew it on wank. It's mad how they were champions a few years ago now they can easily be turned over by MK Dons.

sorry dont agree with this rag perhaps you can tell us which teams you beat on the way to those finals . i can remember chelsea getting cheated out of going through and you getting dicked in the finals . indeed its a long time since rags beat any of the elite . as for failing to strengthen its a bit late to call britains biggest spending manager of all time.

The whole "earned" money argument is predicated on the assumption that they arrived with those funds via wholly fair and equitable means. They did not. They loaded the dice in their favour. Anyone who cannot see this is an utter fool

It's like winning the lottery, going to a Lamborghini garage and weighing up your options... You decide not to buy one, because you haven't earned the money, and go back home on the bus. "Earned money"? Fucking do one knobheads

@SHB I texted my rag mate last night and said what score against pub team mk dons, after the usual bitter blue shite etc he eventually said 4-0 to them....
The arrogance still there, head buried deep in the sand...
I texted him at the final whistle and said bang goes the quadruple and Louis van moyes is a football genius...
I waited for a reply...
And waited...

"Andy was your phone broken last night?"

"Because when we lost at wembley you were shouting your mouth off like all fucking rags do yet when you get beaten you simply cannot take it"
"I'm not arsed was his response, you have bought all your success"
"I know,it's fucking great isn't it,now don't worry,I feel your pain"
