You can't win can you.

They got beat by MK Dons because the team was made up of their youth players.
If they would have won, it was because their team was made up of their youth players, who have come through their famous academy, which really hasn't produced much since the Class of 92, *12 years ago*. :-?

Let's see how many of their youth players play against QPR in 2 weeks time. And let's see how much the team that plays costs.

Spot on, they never shut up about the class of 92, i just ask where's your class of 2002 or 2012, soon shuts them up, they got lucky.

Talk of them signing Strootman in January.

Would mean Utd will have splashed £176m/£244m in 1 season

Strootman £25m
Rojo 16m + 5m Nani wages
Blind 14m
Di Maria 60m + 12m addons
Shaw £27m + £6m addons
Herrera £29m
Falcao £5m + £50m

...

You are here to troll
This particular myth you are trying to propagate was firmly put to bed this time last week by several posters as you ran around in ever decreasing circles telling us you must be intelligent because you held a masters degree.

And yet you have managed to twist a different story back to something that was discussed last week. In your posts today you exclaim that 'we' keep going round in circles ad infinitum, yet you are incapable, or culpable, of returning back to a discredited excuse.
David de Gea 23yrs 11 months
Anderson 26yrs 5 months
Jonny Evans 26yrs 8 monthsi
Shinji Kagawa 25yrs 6 months
Javier Hernandez 26yrs 3 months
Danny Welbeck 23yrs 10 months
Tbf I've seen older Nigerian u21s.

Funny how you've omitted the following players to fit your standpoint?

Vermijl - Under 21's
James - Under 21's
Keane - aged 21
Janko - aged 18
Pereira aged 18
Januzaj - aged 19
Powell - aged 20
Wilson - aged 18

8 players who starred against MK Dons. It's not a myth or a fabrication. The full team sheet is here below.

Manchester United
01 de Gea
36 Vermijl
41 James Booked
28 Anderson
06 Evans
38 Keane
37 Janko (Pereira - 45' )
26 Kagawa (Januzaj - 20' )
14 Hernández
19 Welbeck
22 Powell (Wilson - 57' )

Do you think United will finish in the top 4 this season?
Defensively,do you think the team is good enough?
If not, should Van Gaal be held responsible for not strengthening in the right areas?

I think that Strootman's buy out clause is double that. Could be wrong. He would have to request to leave.

Amongst other things. :-) Take the piss once more and the pictures stop! ;-)

Mr United fan.

Jonny Ball, think of a date.

What are you and your ilk down the road going to say in 5-10 years time when City's *self made money* buys players, and the £150mill training academy also produces 1st team players? Which it will.

I take it you know City are debt free, and will be making an operating profit at the end of this financial year?

So, as I said. 7 of your starting 11 were over the age of 21. The starting xi had 864 first team appearances. Yet you think that personnel was the problem. Are you actually that dense as to keep going with this? You didn't put out a team "mostly made up of under 21's".

Do you think United will finish in the top 4 this season?

Possibly. It's only the 3rd of september, but nobody knows how Arsenal will fare this season, they are still without a prolific striker. Liverpool will be performing in 4 competitions which will stretch their squad much more than last season.

Defensively, do you think the team is good enough?

No, but I can see Jones stepping up this season. He has been our MOM for the last 2 games. When you have a new manager who is performing a hatchet job on the squad, you can either shrug your shoulders and give in, or step up. I have seen Jones and Blackett step up so far. They are not on the same level as Hummels or Kompany, but we might be able to get by with them up until January. I wouldn't be adverse to seeing Carrick back there either. He's not fast but can play that position as he has in the past.

If not, should Van Gaal be held responsible for not strengthening in the right areas?

I don't think there was a quality central defender available to sign at such a late stage. I know there was lots of rumours about Hummels after the WC, but he seems happy where he is, and Dortmund don't want to sell. It was saddening to see Bayern sign Benatia for a paltry 20 million, but we weren't even interested which is just bizarre. I think we will sign a central defender in the next window, but who that will be is a mystery. Much like the mystery surrounding what team we are going to line up with and how Di Maria, Falcao, Blind, Herrera, Rojo and Shaw will gel.
