Very hard to judge how United will do. In Di Maria and Falcao (providing he is fit) they have two of the best players if the not the best in the league. RVP not the player he was a couple of years ago, but still a world class striker. Rooney is finished as a world class player. Mata is a player I rated very highly and feared when he went to United, but he has been awful. Their defence is still poor and not convinced about their midfield. De Gea probably the third best keeper in the league though. I am a pessimist and fancy them to get top 4, but I am not totally taken in my Van Gaal. Would be brilliant if they fail to get top 4.

EDIT

Corrected the mistake I meant t say fancy them to get top 4 not win the league.
I'm not sure what makes you say rvp is world class and shrek is finished. Both have been s41t anytime I've seen them both play this season. I reckon they are both passed their best.

Falcao I havent seen play since he was at atletico he looked good. However since he left they won the league and went from strength to strength. It's not like a bale situation at spurs.

As for di Maria he is world class. Tranny is furious real sold him.

Di Maria is the best player on their team by a mile but the thing is he isn't a scorer never has never will be. Sure he might create 20 good chances a season but Rooney is a hypejob living on his reputation from 2010, RVP is completely broken and Falcao is an unknown. If they loaned athletico Falcao then they have a superstar if they loaned Monaco Falcao they have another RVP type, good in spurts but not enough for a whole season.

Personally anyone of the city starting 11 walks into the united team but I can't think of more than 2 players that would walk into ours.

Anyone of the City SQUAD would walk into their starting XI.

When my children were young there was a book called Where's Wally'.

I might bring it back but call it 'Where's Rojo'

"Im getting rather sick of hearing every Tom, Dick and Harry on here complaining about our defence and saying how its Sunderland level, and that we need to bring in another top quality CB or we are going to be relegated.

So far this season, we have conceded 3 goals in the league (im ignoring the MK Dons game as that was about our 4th choice XI) - one of these (Swanseas first goal) you could argue was a foul (Bony blocking Jones as he tried to get out to block the shot), but regardless, 3 goals in 3 games. That is less than Chelsea, Liverpool or Arsenal who have all conceded 4. The only teams who have conceded LESS goals are City, Swansea, Stoke and Villa.

Lets look at the fachts - Smalling, Jones and Evans all have the potential to be world class CBs. In my opinion, Smalling and Jones have suffered due to being played out of position and not getting consistent gametime at CB, and Evans has just come back from injury.

As far as I am concerned, when those three get some regular gametime, they will quickly iron out the mistakes that have been made. They are young, but there is plenty of experience in those three, and we also have Blackett and Rojo to call upon.

Look at the Liverpool side that came so close to winning the league last season - Agger, Skrtl, Sakho (along with the likes of Johnson, Enrique, Kelly and Flanagan) and tell me that that is a better selection than what we have available. Even City have effectively just been Kompany ** at the back for several seasons. Both of these sides have now tried to shore up their defences this season granted, but both have won or come close to winning the league with defences which are if anything, weaker than what we currently have available.

Our problem so far this season - believe it or not - hasnt been the defence, it has been that we havent been scoring enough. We have completely revamped our midfield now and added Falcao (and Di Maria potentially) to our already lethal attack force. This should take care of the lack of goals I would say.

Basically, our squad has sufficient quality and strength in depth to challenge for the title. It may be too late for this season as I dont think LVG will get the team settled and firing on all cylinders quickly enough, but there is no problem with the quality in the squad now as far as im concerned."
Is he retarded? He seems to be crowing about the fact that they have 'only' conceded 3 goals whilst conveniently ignoring shipping 4 goals against the mighty Dons. On top of that, they 'only' shipped 3 goals playing Swansea, Burnley and Sunderland whose combined strikers for all 3 teams probably cost less than Tia Maria.

£150m has never been spent before, but if Abramovic or Txiki had wielded it, I'm certain it could have been spent in a more effective manner.

Why wait until the final days of the window, and how can you spend that much and leave a gaping hole in the defence?

Man Utd's spending has been compared to Chelsea and City's transfer sprees, but those were pre-planned - apart from the impact buy of Robinho when the City takeover was launched. This spending should really have set them up for the next decade, but there's still a real prospect that they wont make it back into the top 4 and we all know the impact of that.

What Utd need is a top level football management like City. Instead they have Woodward

Haha 4th choice team v mk dons then goes on to say evans could be world class fuck me a world class center back in yoyr 4th choice 11 we are all doomed! Must admit tho if we would have signed di maria we would have gone close to landing every trophy this season!

I get angry and violent when people say Smalling, Evans and Jones are going to be world class. ARE THEY FUCK YOU BUNCH OF DELUDED CUNTS!!!!

Does anyone know now if rojo will be allowed to play before Jan 1 as surely if he hasn't a permit he's missed the deadline to be registered or will he be another like cleverly where that dosnt apply ?

I presume it's ok in the same way that I think you can still register free agents. Not sure though.

Exactly. Been hearing for YEARS now hoe they're young and full of potential. Who are they? Peter fucking Pan? They can't surely still be "young". All been playing in top flight for between 3 and 6 years.

As soon as Utd bring in any half decent centre backs they'l be shipped out a la Cleverley and Welbeck, and then we'll hear from Rags that "they're not up to the standard of Utd players". Deluded cunts the lot of 'em

Yes. As soon as the work permit is sorted he can play because the deal between the clubs was completed before the deadline.
