I presume it's ok in the same way that I think you can still register free agents. Not sure though.
Is he a free agent if united have paid a fee for him surely he belongs to them ?

The excuses have already started.

MEN.

Manchester United had little choice but to splash the cash.

Stopped reading at

and provided them with a moral high ground from which to sneer at football’s new money.

Say something often enough and all that. Deluded and poor piece of journalism although good to see the MuEN back on form after a brief absense

Stopped reading when they said about having to join Us and Chelsea. Like they haven't splashed the cash before.

I get angry and violent when people say Smalling, Evans and Jones are going to be world class. ARE THEY FUCK YOU BUNCH OF DELUDED c**ts!!!!

Exactly. Been hearing for YEARS now hoe they're young and full of potential. Who are they? Peter fucking Pan? They can't surely still be "young". All been playing in top flight for between 3 and 6 years.

As soon as Utd bring in any half decent centre backs they'l be shipped out a la Cleverley and Welbeck, and then we'll hear from Rags that "they're not up to the standard of Utd players". Deluded c**ts the lot of 'em

Evans used to be their scape goat, i'm still wondering why he hasn't been shipped out to Stoke/Sunderland. Smalling is just shite, Jones has a decent tackle on him but he's no Cannavaro. Won't be suprised if we see Luke Shaw back at Southampton, career ruined Zaha style.

I know each fan likes to blow their teams trumpet, but this taken from Sad Cafe is a tad OTT maybe?? Deluded fecker

"Im getting rather sick of hearing every Tom, Dick and Harry on here complaining about our defence and saying how its Sunderland level, and that we need to bring in another top quality CB or we are going to be relegated.

So far this season, we have conceded 3 goals in the league (im ignoring the MK Dons game as that was about our 4th choice XI) - one of these (Swanseas first goal) you could argue was a foul (Bony blocking Jones as he tried to get out to block the shot), but regardless, 3 goals in 3 games. That is less than Chelsea, Liverpool or Arsenal who have all conceded 4. The only teams who have conceded LESS goals are City, Swansea, Stoke and Villa.

Lets look at the fachts - Smalling, Jones and Evans all have the potential to be world class CBs. In my opinion, Smalling and Jones have suffered due to being played out of position and not getting consistent gametime at CB, and Evans has just come back from injury.

As far as I am concerned, when those three get some regular gametime, they will quickly iron out the mistakes that have been made. They are young, but there is plenty of experience in those three, and we also have Blackett and Rojo to call upon.

Look at the Liverpool side that came so close to winning the league last season - Agger, Skrtl, Sakho (along with the likes of Johnson, Enrique, Kelly and Flanagan) and tell me that that is a better selection than what we have available. Even City have effectively just been Kompany ** at the back for several seasons. Both of these sides have now tried to shore up their defences this season granted, but both have won or come close to winning the league with defences which are if anything, weaker than what we currently have available.

Our problem so far this season - believe it or not - hasnt been the defence, it has been that we havent been scoring enough. We have completely revamped our midfield now and added Falcao (and Di Maria potentially) to our already lethal attack force. This should take care of the lack of goals I would say.

Basically, our squad has sufficient quality and strength in depth to challenge for the title. It may be too late for this season as I dont think LVG will get the team settled and firing on all cylinders quickly enough, but there is no problem with the quality in the squad now as far as im concerned."
Is he retarded? He seems to be crowing about the fact that they have 'only' conceded 3 goals whilst conveniently ignoring shipping 4 goals against the mighty Dons. On top of that, they 'only' shipped 3 goals playing Swansea, Burnley and Sunderland whose combined strikers for all 3 teams probably cost less than A BOTTLE OF Tia Maria.
Edited for accuracy.

Time to go bye bye.

Come on mods sort it

I appreciate that his point about people constantly repeating things is negated by the fact that he's doing exactly the same (if he thinks things are bad up here he should pay a visit to The Cellar sometime), and I appreciate that he's rubbing some blues up the wrong way but has he broken the code of conduct with that post you've quoted? Personally, I can't see it, and let's not forget that this forum openly states that it welcomes opposition fans and we're all currently posting on the United thread in the General football section of the forum. Therefore, it isn't unreasonable to expect to see the odd United fan post on here.

You go and try the shite this c**t is spouting on the caffe see how long you last

About an hour - I know!

On the Rojo thing: I'm sure rules will be bent (money will change hands etc. etc. to pay off the neighbour he fell out with in 2010) and he will probably play against QPR, but I would love it if he does not.

As I pointed out (during the hour!) Of the 16 million pounds, Sporting Lisbon only get 1 million* 12 million goes to Doyen sports management and 3 million goes to Spartak, his previous club. Now this would be OK if Utd had paid the full 16 million in one hit, but they only paid 8 million with 2x 4 million to follow (despite having this war chest of 200 mill!). Why would Sporting Lisbon pay Doyen 12 & Spartak 3 - if they have only been paid 8 by MUFC?

*This is probably why Utd. had to loan Nani to SL AND pay the wages - so Sporting Lisbon got something out of the deal. The comical thing is, they are paying the wages of Nani and Rojo, but only one of them has actually played any football !!!

I believe this matter had to be resolved before the transfer window shut, to get his registration formalised with the Premier League - I believe that was done (although I don't know for sure) which just leaves the problem of the assault charge/work permit that I alluded to above. I think Utd made a big mistake going for this guy, due to (a) not investigating his past and (b) paying in instalments which I know happens in most modern transfers, but its not a good idea when sports management companies own part of the player.

With 3rd party ownership is involved, you really can't mess about with instalments, for example, us and Mangala - we paid out to get the 3rd party rights sorted to meet prem league rules and that deal took 4-6 weeks in itself, in fact we laid the groundwork during the January window.

At the end of the day - if Man Utd. miss out on a champions league place by a point I will remind my raggy friends, that everything could have been different if Rojo had popped up with a goal at Burnley, last week!!!
