tayally agree.

whoever has done this is a disgrace.
whoever you are stay away from city. we dont want you.

i think its pretty obvious that nobody could expect the guy to die but football isn't even worth a single punch, fight or whatever.

the bloke who died was a red and a proper decent bloke, his son is best pals with my nephew (9 yrs old) that lovely kid has lost his dad to a stupid row.....tragic, rip pal, hope the "city fan" gets his justice
lived at the end of our kids road in Monton

Dunno if this has been re-posted on here but CCTV stills have been released of the lads they are looking for.

[bigimg]http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/77608000/jpg/_77608858_77608407.jpg[/bigimg]

Descriptions:

Police said one of the men was white, 6ft (1.8m) tall and of slim build while a second man was possibly Asian/mixed race, 5ft 7in (1.7m) tall and of medium build with black hair.

A third man, not involved in the incident that led to Mr Carter's death, was with both men outside the Revolution Bar.

He was described as black with short dark hair.

Maybe it needs a separate thread?

Pretty clear pictures someone will recognise them.Once they realised the man was seriously injured they should have handed themselves in straight away as it was and is only a matter of time before they get caught.Trying to hide won't do them any favours when it goes to court. The one who threw a punch faces a manslaughter charge and will be going down for 3-5 years minimum.

Hopefully not, as that would be a complete piss take.

I am afraid that is probably the maximum he will face as it sounds like a one punch assault, probably the likes of which happen hundreds of times every Saturday night around the country with no serious repercussions.Occasionaly though,as in this case, there is a tragic outcome.

I have no doubt he never thought this would happen when he threw that punch, people don't realise the danger once someone falls and their head hits the ground,if they are out before they do it is full on.He and his mates need to walk into a police station and now do the right thing.

Sorry, meant to bold out the bit I was referring to. I'm talking about the sentence. 3-5 years.

If there was mitigating circumstances it could be less.If the man claims he was threatened first,or the man who died threw the first punch and a jury believe it he could claim self defence.

You've got to fucking laugh haven't you, I suppose.
Catch them first, then see what's what. Glad some CCTV has appeared to get things rolling.
