Sorry mate but you're talking bollocks!
Before DiMaria and Falcao arrived nobody was batting an eye lid over the rags. I can't see why a winger and an ageing injury prone albeit top striker will suddenly put them in the top four or contention for the title. Wait till they play a decent team then we'll see what's what.
Considering Liverpool almost won the title last season I see no reason why United who have a much stronger squad than them cant challenge.

And Di Maria and Falcao will obviously make a huge difference as they are truly world class players.
Wrong mate. It's like giving someone who's in need of heart surgery fake tits instead!
(Thanks to a previous poster that one)

Yep great to look at, create an impression, fun to play with ... But at the first sign of pressure they're going tits up (see what I did there) and they croak !

with rags out of the league cup , it means last seasons top six will probably play 20 games more than the rags , that will make a difference , pains me to say it but even with their joke defence , they will be in the mix for the title , because they will also throw another £100m at the team in january

Put the pipe down blue, its late.

Can we get back to the pure hatred of all things raggy, rather than having a discussion please?

Rachel Riley included!

Although I still would......

Aside from the obvious, and understandable, hatred in here, I just wanted to ask a genuine question.

How many people think United will actually follow the path of Liverpool a few years back and regress / stagnate for a period?

I know it's something you'd all like to see, but I'm asking if you genuine believe it?

They've signed the likes of Di Maria & Falcao this window - two established world class players whichever way you look at it. Herrera & Blind are decent players, albeit not worldbeaters by any stretch, and Luke Shaw who could well be England's LB for the next decade.

They have, however, failed to address a glaring inadequancy at the back, particularly in the centre, and that may well be what could hold them back.

In my personal opinion, the title is not a realistic aim this season, and top 4 is about as good as it can get. But i dont think I share the same opinion as a few of those in here who believe last season's 7th placed finish is the start of a long, slow decline.

Of course it's imperative they get CL football again next season - something which I think they'll achieve in place of Liverpool, and if that happens, I can only see them challenging yourselves and Chelsea for the forseeable again. I also think that next summer may well see a few more big names go to United which will obviously strengthen them further, possibly a couple of centre backs and another central midfielder. Ronaldo even?

I'm not expecting you to go all soft here BTW - I fully appreciate the immense hatred you hold for them and I dont deny you that view in the slightest - but I'm interested to hear what you genuinely believe and why.

I dont for one second believe they will be in any financial trouble whatsoever - something of which I have seen a few references to in this thread more than once.
They won't be allowed to go the way of Liverpool. That will never happen.

What do you mean (I hope you aren't referring to an Agenda)?

something will be done for certain.
when the actual premier league come out and say it needs a successful manchester united it gives it away a little.

If they are having to spend considerably in the January window, I feel it will because they are not expecting to make a CL spot come May. By Jan it could be too late this season, but I do see Thursday night football being achievable for them.

Couple of things give me more hope though

1. Once the novelty of playing all their new toys wears off and reality hits home that they will still be turned over by half decnt teams, I can see Vadge having more hissyfits and losing his temper, and start to alianate himself

2. They have this continued desire to bring Tranny back to OT. This has to be an emotianal rather than rational decision as he is not the panacea to there obvious issues, and whilst they continue thinking along these lines, I am more than happy.

In summary, they will not do a Leeds or Liverpool and disappear off the face of the footballing map for years, but whilst they have this false belief that they can buy stellar names for positions they don't need, they will hover aound Europa/ 4th place.

They are, and always remain, SCUM

False belief they can buy stellar names? I must be imagining Di Maria and Falcao. I always wondered why for years I'd be called bitter and I'm blaming half the bell ends on this thread.

People who dismiss united completely are brain dead. They have a team that now can out score anyone. Whilst their defence is suspect and better teams will get at them they will bulldoze the majority with their striking power. Not saying they will win it but they won't be a million miles away. I just think that people who completely dismiss them are arrogant and stupid and you can land up with egg on your face.

Yes they've only beat QPR for now but they can't help who they was playing that day but with that win brings confidence a feel good factor and possible momentum now. I hope to god it doesn't but I won't let my hatred for them cloud the realisation that they have some class acts now.

I can see why you might have thought I was alluding to Di Maria and Falcao as the Stellar names, but I was refering to Tranny. The jury is out with Falcao as there were several clubs who reputedly refused him before Utd took the bait. IMO he is like Rooney who have their best years behind them.

As for bellend and braindead, I am neither.

Alarmingly though, your reply suggests you have some affection for them to an extent I wonder if you are a closet Rag!
