Rats' financial results

Posted at 12:26
The figures...
Total revenue to Sept 30 down 9.9% to £88.7m.
Broadcasting revenue down 13% to £16.8m.
Matchday revenue down 21.8% to £15.1m.
Commercial revenue down 5.2% to £56.8.
Rats expect overall revenue for 2014-15 to be between £385m and £395m. Last year it was £433m.

Never mind I`m sure they can sell a few more Pot Noodles to make up for a loss.

They'd want to sell a few alright, that 9.9% fall is the result of missing one, that's one Champions League game and that isn't including the effect of not getting the UEFA prizemoney, expect the next figures (5 missed group games) to be considerably worse.

But wont this be offset with revenue from their Europa an league cup campaigns.

Oh dear, I forgot.

As long as they don't get bailed out by somebody fucking rich, that would be bad :)

:). they're down £8.77m, I don't think winning the league cup gets you that, so they're fucked next season too.

Not been on The Mail because i refuse to click on it.

There is an artical suggesting the Arsenal v Rags game should be postponed due to how many injuries they currently have.

It goes on to say, it`s not just about UTD, it could happen to any club.

hahahahahahahhahahaaa just wow.

Rat.

Skip the article, but take a look at the comments section, here's one....

Durham; I have just read an article by your by far superior colleague MR IAN LADYMAN, this article states that UTD are considering a trip abroad to compensate their loss of revenue by not qualifying in any way for European football this season, this will supplement their already arranged tour in January, for the same reasons given in your article, what happens if their "brittle "players get injured, will you demand yet again postponements? In your silly world the season for some will never end.

Therein lies the problem. Be careful what you wish for with the raggy rag rags. While the Glazers own them, it great entertainment, but God forbid someone with some real dosh steps in, that wont be funny. Unless of course its a consortium fronted by Ray Ranson...

To be honest there is no doubt that the Glazers will ultimately sell out and some real money men will bail them out, its as sure as night follows day any anyone who believes otherwise is deluding themselves. The best senario for us is that they plod along just missing out on the top 4 and the Glazers sit tight. This will allow us to consolidate and remain competitive when it finally happens.

Nope, the best option for us is that they sit somewhere non threatening in the football pyramid that still allows the Glazers to use them as a piggybank, that they 'do an Arsenal' so to speak and we get years and years of amusement out of it.
