#DavidDeGea has reportedly agreed terms with #RealMadrid ahead of a potential switch to the Spanish club.
De Gea, who has arguably been Manchester United’s star player this term, has been sounded out by Madrid for a deal at the end of the season.
And while United want to keep him, reports in Spain say he’s agreed terms on contract, with the switch edging closer. Per +Metro
The news comes hours after Marca said #DeGea is still waiting for United to offer him a new deal, despite weeks of talks.
#United would want about £50million for De Gea.
Covering their backs to balance the books again?
Sell Dave and get a free older keeper in return?
Sounds like ickle City in the 90's
Amazingly (considering their earning power), this seems to be the case. The Brothers Gimp really are milking them dry.
They've always bent over whenever Real Madrid dropped their trousers and wiggled their cheque book, though. So, maybe we shouldn't be all that surprised that de Gea is about to be surrendered so meekly.
Certainly, all talk of a coherent plan or vision of the way forward will be exposed as nonsense if this deal goes ahead for any money at all (or indeed for free). If this move wasn't at least forewarned, let alone prepared for, at the time of Di Maria's move, then Madrid have seriously exposed Woodward's ineptitude.
