Thats not the case at all for the local rags. I live in probably the biggest rag area in Manchester. All the rags round here had no choice in who they supported. The fact they are rags is because their dad is and their grandparents, great grand parents were also rags. The rags round here are no different from ourselves. The fact United were successful had no bearing on why they are rags.
Fair to say I have suffered more than most due to my allegiance over the years. But that suffering makes our current standing all the sweeter.
