They're far more of a one man team than we are, it's just their one man is a keeper. They were battered today, just as they were against Southampton and they have been for most of this run they're on. They seem to be relying on De Gea stopping everything, then getting incredibly bad defensive mistakes in their favour. They aren't actually creating anything, it's bizarre. I don't think I've seen a team get battered so badly yet win 3-0. Very odd.
The rag media will wank themselves silly over de gae's performances for the scum this season. If it was joe pulling us out of the shit every week they'd tear strips off us

All that's halpening is that their 'keeper is making some good saves and a lot of shots are just straight at him, and their strikers are taking their few chances they're creating.

Everything else about them is shit and it shows the state of our league that they're going to finish third. I think they'd be behind Madrid Barça Atlético Sevilla and Valencia in Spain.

He's got to be one of the favourites for taking the Luis Suarez turd polisher of the season award, though.

Re: The Dog & Duck Pub Team (aka United) Thread 2014/15

I don't know what to make of United at the minute. On one hand they are just as bad as they have been all season but on the other they are winning games. It seems like they are reverting to the same United as they were under Ferguson, or at least in the latter stages of Ferguson's reign.

It slightly worries me how they once again becoming an effective team. You only have to look at their recent stats to see that they are extremely clinical but De Gea is keeping them in the match.

However, what doesn't worry me in the slightest is all this talk about waiting for them to hit form. Its not since 2008 that they have played the sort of football that scares teams. For the past 6 years they have been the team who consistently beats the lower teams. I think United's biggest strength has been taking advantage of teams who are not on top form rather than outplaying teams.

The problem they have is that both Us and Chelsea have also developed that knack and are a million times better than them.

United's position is about right, they are better than any other team (bar us and Chelsea) at beating the lesser sides. However, their biggest problem is keeping up with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool if they hit top form.

On this seasons form he probably is.

Liverpool were awful at the back today. Wank keeper (odd decision to change keepers for that game) and that clearance for the 3rd was terrible. Add to that an aging Gerrard and piss poor finishing from Sterling and Balotelli and it was a bad day for them and made Utd look better than they are! Worryingly though they seem to keep on winning while not playing well.

I remember us losing 4-0 at Arsenal in the 70s, with Jimmy Rimmer getting 10 out of 10 in EVERY paper for his performance. Even Bertie Mee, their manager at the time, said the result was a travesty.

So, yes, shit happens occasionally, but in the rags' case, every fucking week.

Every one of those saves today was straight at him. Even the one that hit the bar which looked spectacular but on second viewing he should have done better than merely tip it onto the crossbar

Re: The Dog & Duck Pub Team (aka United) Thread 2014/15

People keep saying how shite they are but they're winning games, when we don't play well but still win we aay it's the sign of champions, they are unfortunately title challenger imo. Only 5 points behind us and we have no fit striker at the most busiest time of the season.
