What is the longest they went without winning a trophy? I know they got relegated but they romped the league that year and came straight back up so it hardly affected them.

They'd probably miss!give & go said:Seen Middlesbrough win 1-0 at city without a shot on target don't seem to remember them being champions or their manager being a GREAT.

You are indeed deluded. Hope you win again midweek......CostaCalida said:Winning whilst playing " dogshit" is one of the greatest managerial abilities of all. That was the main question I asked in my original post. Can your manager do this, consistently? (I am not saying he can't, I am just stimulating debate). We have all seen the greatest example of this ability do it again, and again, and again, even if we do choose to portray him as some sort of slavering alcoholic. Last night had all the hallmarks of a classic Ferguson backs to the wall performance. Not mattering too much as to personnel or systems (which it wouldn't have to given the make up of the back five). Probably it comes down to tactics and the spirit within the team. We should have lost but I we didn't. I saw that many times under Ferguson. Are we on the way back? I would like to think so, you wouldn't.
