Touché sir, touché!

Is there any way that I could get a bet at the bookies that the rags get Bruges?
Or do you think betting will be suspended on that one?
Is there no way a team cobbled together from Romanian bin men could be thrown in last minute?

I agree with this. There's no way BT have pumped tens of millions into a Champions League coverage package that doesn't include their biggest ratings puller, Manyoo (particularly when they have no Red Scouse, either). UEFA know this and will adjust the draw accordingly.

A nice trip to Turkey would be interesting for the rags in the champions league qualifier, and thrown in that van rapist and Nani are both at fenebahce, that's if they get past shaktar...

Haven't seen much comment on this but if true smacks either of arrogance or complacency

This is just a slow news day article. LVG says he is happy with his strikers – but there might be a surprise.
That statement means nothing and the article adds little.
You could read into it that they are struggling to find a decent & available striker and they are sowing the seeds for starting the season with a strike force most supporters will be less than happy with. An exercise in managing the expectations of their fans a bit like the no value comment. Will LVG still be happy if they have a piss poor scoring record at Christmas and are outside the top 4?

I know it'll have been answered somewhere but what's stopping Real giving de gea or his agent some money and telling him to buy out the last year of his contract?
