and as for attacking options we lack a certain sharpness/end product, but with depay/mata/januzaj/hererra/young, it's up there with even Manchester City's imo.

depay/mata/januzaj/herrera/young

Fucking hell I can barely split them...

united, like so many leading 'brands' in corporate history, fell into the trap of thinking that their hegemony was uneluctable. That it would simply go on forever, no matter what. A toxic conflation of arrogance and indolence.

If you cast your mind back to 2008, even after the takeover, any suggestion that City could overtake united in any meaningful sense was met with howls of derision, both from their supporters and the wider footballing world, especially the media.

The role of our owners in reversing that state of affairs should not be underestimated, but nor should that of united as an institution. Rather than focus their efforts on thwarting our rise by making themselves better through investing in the playing staff and infrastructure of the club, instead, the club adopted an MO of dismissing our club outright and the threat it posed. Until it was too late. A couple of years ago they woke up to the reality of where they found themselves in relation to us and Chelsea, upon which they went about throwing money about in the fashion of a sailor on shore leave. To use another nautical metaphor they are displaying all the hallmarks of a rudderless ship, without any discernible leadership anywhere to be seen. It really is a thing of beauty.

Like the hare in the fable, by the time they woke up it was already too late to do anything to alter the outcome.

What an appropriate outcome for a club that had become so bloated by its own-self importance. What a wonderful piece of poetic justice for that banner which was used to mock for so many years.

It's what makes our laughter so much more real. Long may it continue.
It really is beautiful to watch.

The high for me was when Moyes said they "hope to aspire" to our level one day. Nowadays they have no hope to get anywhere near us, talent wise. They barely made the top 4, just wait till they have to play European games midweek.

Joint top after a stunning tactical turtle draw. Joint top pl scorer helping the hammers come back from two down. All is well at the worlds biggest club so all 659m fans can sleep well tonight.

funny as all that deluded shit is, I will NEVER EVER FORGET the cowardly venom with which their disgraceful fans attacked woman and children City fans after the FA Cup Semi Final in 2011 - never forget blues, they are self-important, arrogant, self-righteous twats who don't like one bit (and can't take it either) what is happening to them and their media-loved institution

Spot on!

Depay after showing us all how truly World class he was against the mighty European power house that was Club Brugge, he must have set another record today. Depay who apparently had "his man on strings" gave the ball away a whopping 35 times. Very impressive.

Redcafe is wonderful reading. The arguments and hissy fits are wonderful from a City fans point of view. 3 years, 2 managers, and millions spent since the GPC decided he wasn't up to the fight any more and disappeared up his own arsehole in an alcoholic expletive riddled haze, and they still look in disarray. They celebrated their one recent derby win as though they'd won the league and celebrated winning Arsenal's 4th place trophy like they'd done the treble.
They look no nearer challenging for the title than they did under Moyes, and the easy ride they're getting in the media is not doing them any favours.
Good things come to those who wait and we waited fucking years for this. Enjoy it.

Probably be better with Wilson, Kepple & Betty. (One for our more mature readers)

Not you as well. I had to put up with some fresh out of nappies Dramatic Arts student on the tram gabbling into his phone about having to learn the sand dance for some end of term project and saying old people would know about it.

I went past a jd sports today and they had a poster of fatty luke shaw in the window. Strap line on the poster says 'break expectations'.

Fuck me those scummy twats expectations should be smashed on the floor in little pieces with what they are witnessing.
The only thing that fat **** will break is a fucking chair.
