They stood still, like Liverpool towards the end of the 80's. They and their boardroom, along with the fans thought that they would never be removed from the top 2. Well unfortunately the way their clubs are run are behind the times, no structure, no plan.
We have surpassed them and will continue to do so, not only do we now sign players for the first team, but the academy is littered with the best talent from around Europe as well as home based players. We cant get every young player, but the new academy, stadium infrastructure, recruitment planning is second to none.
Take a look at what was identified at the end of last season - our manager along with the board knew what was needed and we have gone and got the players (with KDB to be the last piece). Youth team players have been promoted and will also be loaned out to gain experience so they are ready for the next step.
Look at the united and Liverpool way, it is lost. It has no strategy because they are clueless in terms of what direction to take and are constantly trying to play catch up to us and Chelsea. A scattergun approach to transfers has again resulted in them being snubbed and making a last desperate attempt to sign Neymar !!! they are a laughing stock
