One thing you can say about Swales was at least he was not a rag. He hated them as much as the rest of us. He may have been a bit mad but which City fan is not? He never did anyone any harm unlike the Edwards family. The poor bastard died a broken man and all he wanted was to see City overcome United. I think he would be pissing his sides at the irony of how its all changed around and his vision came right in the end :-)

Damn right , he declared on the takeover his sole intention was to overtake the rags and on attendance we were within touching distance for a period . The business sense of a chipmunk though , he sold everything we had to fuel the obsession , often thought though that if you pulled the average Blue from the Kippax at the same time the result would have been the same.
Sad end,broken man but true to his love of the club till the finish , typical City, the stuff of Italian High Opera,we are unlike any other club.
