Does anyone think there's more to this than simply van Gaal falling out with players and getting rid? Maybe there are financial reasons as well - last year they spent a fortune and perhaps they have to balance the books more this time round?

I said earlier in the thread that it has a feel of Taskin's last days at City but then they go and blow 30-50mil on someone that this time yesterday no-one had ever heard of.

I've lost track of who's left either sold or on loan but it can't be far off 10. And that's 10 first team squad players, that's a lot especially when you look at who they've replaced them with

They aren't linked with Griezman, it was a rumour from a fake twitter account, followed up by people misiniterpreting a tweet from him. He was tweeting about how tommorow people will find out his rating on the new FIFA and the rags seem to think this is about him yearning to play under the turtle.

To be fair, Woodward is probably on the edge of his seat to find out too. It's his preferred method of negotiation, comparing previous ratings.

So where has this £36m fee come from, if it's clear they've actually spent closer to double that amount? Pisses me off how the press always half their transfer fees and then double ours.
