Rumour has it this year our turnover has surpassed "the greatest bestest supported club in the whole wide world" who'd of thought that a few years ago ? not in my lifetime............

Suspect this guy has been behind muddled GM strategy in the UK too - tried to push Vauxhalls up a class - Insignia as a 5 series - Astra as a 3 series - Zafira Tourer as aEspace on the grounds it has 7 seats. What they actually did was kill off the Zafira and render the rest too expensive and the bargain brand Chevrolet was seen as wank so has been pulled from the UK market with its base model the Spark rebodied and sold as the new Vauxhall Viva. Lost sales and market share - so that kind of thinking would see the rags deal as a total success of course.

Meantime rag fans ( and the rest of us ) went out and bought Nissan's / BMW's / Fords / Mazda's / Renaults and so on which means they now run round with shirts on bearing the logo of a sponsor no longer operating in that market?? Reminds me of the Felchester Rovers sponsorship deal of a few years ago when they had "SPANGLES" across their chest years after they had stopped making them............. or did I dream that...??

The PL is a global brand, so getting your name on shirt means it will get noticed, regardless of where the market is. ADUG didn't buy you lot because of their interest in football, it was to market their airline globally. And it's worked out pretty well for both sides. This means that other clubs, including United will always have lucrative deals in the pipeline. AIG and AON were never trying to break the UK market, but they knew that their logo would be seen by millions of people at least once a week.

we have been increasing revenue around 70m a year ? they lost around 40 ? plus the nock on effect from no CL ,heard from a few sources we will pip them for revenue this year
Last year's increase was largely due to the new Sky/BT deal, which kicked in that year. If by "...a few sources..." you mean Mike Keegan's shite story in The Fail then I'd take that with a large pinch of salt. The Mirror have copied that almost word for word but have come up with £510m, which they've plucked out of thin air. There's been no major new or increased revenue stream that I'm aware of so my guess is we'll add around £20m to last year's £347m.

Closet rag checking in on the rag thread. Hi Shally, what's your address? I wanna suck your cock.

Didn't work out well as they will be forever remembered for sticking their name on a Munich poster.
