Didn't that very nice man, who liked looking under toilet doors, Mr Martin Edwards, give the club a (relative) lot of his own money, so that the equally nice GPC could buy lots of expensive players in the late '80s?

In fact, so much money that the shower of shite that lost 5-1 on that glorious afternoon in late 1989, cost £13 million.

Not that it's ever mentioned, of course.

Yep, we never thought of earning money like that though.
Thing is, the fucking thick cunts can't see there's no material difference. Putting all the stuff about John Henry Davies and James Gibson to one side for a moment, as that was in a different era (although it still has currency, especially in relation to fans of a club that love to pontificate about their club's history, but seem to know so very little about it) united's rise to prominence in the modern era was fueled by getting shareholders to pump money into the club, which enabled it to spend significantly beyond its financial means at the time, and outspend everybody else in so doing. Without that shareholder investment in the playing and physical infrastructure of the club there is no way they'd have grown as they did in the early nineties.

Mansour, like the board at united in the nineties, saw the opportunities that being involved in an English football club would bring at a time of technological change and increasing broadcasting exposure and revenue. I can't believe people can be so blind and/or thick to not appreciate this. Our last financials, before the new Sky and BT deals it should be said, bear testament to this. The ADUG investment was perfectly timed.

The top of the Premier League, financially speaking, is at the centre of the sporting universe. Rather than a vanity project, the....err.....project has turned into a beautifully executed and prescient business investment as our financials in the next half decade will conspicuously demonstrate.

Ah yes ! But that's not the rags 'Official history' !

Keane has laid in to Young for his diving! I have some level of respect for Keane in that he speaks his crazy mind, he can’t stop himself from sticking the knife in. A lot of Rags fans have completely turned on him even though he must have been there most successful captain of all time. Still a twat when it comes to us and he is a very bitter man but at least he is consistently a twat as opposed to being a selective twat.

He didn't seem to mind when the GPC was there and they were getting penalties for these dives.
