I was implying that the stats on shots by Norwich were better, albeit slightly, despite playing without a philosophy.

They managed to score, which is obviously the only way to win, (unless youre city, who can score an OG, when the opposition have 0 shots... That was a bad match to follow), which appears to be more than LVG's tactics allow most of the time
You can all the shots on goal you want and have no apparent philosophy, but if you don't put the ball in the net it counts for nothing.

It can be dispiriting, even in these halcyon times, to be the only blue in an ocean of vermin. You just have to keep your chin up, and not hide away.

Oh i always had my head up jim,all through the dark days not once would i let those vermin get me down,as for present times well what a pleasure it is jim to see and hear those rats whine like the dirty vermin they are.

As a Catholic myself coming from a completely catholic background ( housing estate, school, etc ) during my early days as a city supporter ( 1967-68 season ) most of the kids of my age were celtic supporters closely followed by rag bastards,i cant ever remember teams being supportrd for religious reasons ( except of course celtic, rangers ) as far as the filth supporters that i knew off , the big reason for their support was that drunken **** best followed by their dads passing on the Munich disaster story. In the 70's the fuckers pretty much kept their lice infested heads down, but as jim states during their successful years this place was hell on earth for city fans. You had to be made of strong stuff to be a blue in ragland in the bad old days, but when the good days returned by god it was and remains so sweet.I work in a building with 500 people and i am the only city fan in it,that will give you some idea how infested we are with scum sucking cunts over here, but hear this......i know of only one other city fan within 20 miles of me,the both of us over the last few seasons have been to dozens and dozens of games including cup finals at Wembley, but not one scum sucker in that filth infested building that i work in has EVER been to a game at old toilet."Your honour i rest my case for the prosecution"

Certainly remember being told as a kid by my parents that my choice of team was the rags. When I politely enquired as to why - I was told that as a catholic, this was your team.

When they heard I decided to support City - it was like a scene from the fucking exorcist.

I know what you mean, when my dad got wind of me supporting city instead of celtic he nearly had a heart attack ! And during the dark days for city he would always remind me that he tried to get me to be a celtic supporter and what a mistake i had made ,i remember saying to him when i was in my 20's "Dad i will be city until the day i die" "i will never change" he accepted it after that, but what a battle over the years !

my dad was a devout catholic and was 100% a life long blue. so the religion shit is bollocks.

Good to see you posting again!!

I went to town with the missis for a meal and a drink this afternoon, we ended up in the Tib Street Tavern for the last 10 mins of the Chelsea game. It was full of rags going mad for Stoke to score again, i couldn't understand why they were that bothered (IMO Chelsea are out of the title race now, so arn't a threat) then my missis twigged, they are shit scared of Chelsea catching them for fourth!
