WTF is that hat behind them?
This has been noted before but Redcafe members/Utd fans online in general as a whole don't seem to be as interested in what we're doing
When compared with us as we seem to pay more attention to what the Rags are doing.
In my view this is due to as of right now most of the active Bluemoon members and city fans online in general are from or around Greater Manchester
Or have some connection historically so will have friends who are United fans and all the rest of it.
This may/will change as City grows more worldwide but when you compare Bluemoon with Redcafe it's obvious they have more foreigners who
wouldn't pay much attention to us and will nod along with their MUTV subscriptions, whereas us local fans can probably list a load of Rags
who live on our street, so we've constantly lived with the whole cross rivalry.
I get the feeling the average glory hunting rag fans have already forgot about the poor sod.Wonder how the revisionists at old Trafford will spin the one season tenure of their most expensive signing?
I get the feeling the average glory hunting rag fans have already forgot about the poor sod.
Don't share your sympathy for him, mind. Ugly **** and seems a whiny little fucker.
I had to laugh at the irony of one poster on red cafe from Ireland calling our fans plastics. Apparently in his neck of the woods 'there were no City fans round his neck of the woods a few years back, now there's fecking loads'.
Hahaha... We are growing globally now and our fanbase will inevitably change.
Sadly, many old timers from Manchester may not like this, but times change.
Example last night a group of men sat behind me were speaking Urdu/Bengali or something.
This doesn't bother me as it's normal in the city centre but to old timers they may not like this?
I'm noticing more and more multiculturalism inside the stadium.
Yes the demographic is still majority white male but there's more different groups of Gender/Race/Religion/Age turning up.
This is the direction the club is going in. For one in which I'm happy with.
We used to take the piss out of Rags for being worldwide but this is a byproduct of success :/
How can you be happy with us becoming everything we used to despise and ridicule about the rags?
Plastics are an inevitability the more successful you become, that's a given. But they'd represent a smaller proportion of the match crowd if the club weren't pricing out ever more longstanding blues every year.
Plenty of plastics from all over the globe for our biggest game of the season on Sunday as well by all accounts, in that small away end with tickets selling out at almost 14k points. Wonder how they got tickets.
Our club is just as bad as United for shitting on its supporters in pursuit of the £, as far as I'm concerned. Nothing to be proud of.
Hmm. I'm not happy with the ticket pricing per match, although with myself being a ST holder per match it's a good deal.
Away days are literally knocked on the head now due to the cost - although I do qualify for many due to the amount of LP's i have.
Tickets are going to corporates and also to blues with enough points who are then selling them on the black market.
I noticed the odd half n half scarf wankers in our end at the Swamp yes.... But they weren't the majority, not having that.
I recognized plenty of regulars.
City aren't as bad "for shitting on supporters" as well we don't have compulsory cup schemes, and our Media channels are completely FREE (as of right now)
These are seperate issues. I'm talking about fan demographics in actual match attendees and this for me is changing at matches.
Example last night due to the £1 ticket for kids - there were kids left right and centre.
Whereas on Saturday against Norwich (yes there will be kids) but most will be middleaged white males.
Yes I used to take the piss out of United for their gloryseeking plastics but we're now attracting this type of fan.
it does somewhat irritate me if I was around someone at the match who doesn't sing/holds a selfie stick and all the rest of it,
but we have this type of fan anyway who aren't from abroad and are from Manchester.
I specifically have my ST in 111 as most are likeminded and want to stand and sing, not sit there all match on their smartphones.
But there's sections in the stadium for those who want that experience. leave them to it.
I don't see the point personally.
It pays for Sergio's wages so :D
No words...
Mate, almost 50% of our away allocation for the biggest game of the season now goes to corporate, I'd say that's as bad as it gets for shitting on your supporters, personally.
The MIBs will have his card marked; they'll be setting up camp outside his gate as I speak. Er, type.Cheeky Boro fan at 1:03 ;)
No; he was confused as he was taking a penalty that he hadn't dived for.I haven't seen utd's missed penalties. Any truth in the rumour Ashley young missed his because instead of shooting he passed it back into his own half?
