From the Guardiola thread on the Caf:

"... it does seem pretty obvious Guardiola is wanting to go to City... Can't see him wanting to take on the United job now... he pretty much guarantees silverwear and will likely end up at our main rivals"

I'm confused. I thought Liverpool were their main rivals?

Had a good laugh at those his comments this afternoon - he came across as someone who was about to burst into tears at the sheer injustice of it all. Not that the stupid **** has any supporting evidence and coming from a fan of a club that attempted to bung a huge sum of money at the parents of Peter Lorimer and was suspected of offering financial inducements to the mother of the Family Man in order to lure him away from City, I think it's fair to say that there's a huge dollop of irony in Cybertwat's comments. If he carries on like this, he'll be rivalling other Caf legends Cuntanoid, Allforone, and the MUFCBelfastFatSlag before long!

There are actually a lot of parents of Rag academy players who have nice shiny white goods in their kitchens - they have even created jobs for parents of kids they really wanted.
The most important thing for these cretins to remember is that you don't go slagging us off for something if you're own club has done the very same thing! At least we offer our academy players a solid education, and let them finish that education even if they fail to make the grade!
 
Re The Family Man being induced to sign for the rags ... My recollection of the rumour at the time was that the deal went way beyond done fancy new white goods ... And included but may not have been limited to ... Lump sum plus appointment as youth scout on three year deal including company car - for each parent

All speculation of course but it did the rounds and was effective in us losing what became a significantly good player even though he appears to be an odious character !!!

Exactly mate - even if they had damning evidence that City were offering bungs to entice their academy players, how they can complain about it when their club has a history of doing the same is utterly laughable.
Very good point about the education too. It's not just about the state of the art facilities that are on offer - we're giving these kids opportunities outside of football that other clubs aren't. Is it any wonder that some of United's ex-players are sending their kids to our academy?

The story I heard about the Family Man was that United offered to pay off his mother's mortgage if he signed for United. Whether it's true or not is anybody's guess but Peter Lorimer story is so fuck 'em the mard cunts.
