When he shouted at Martinez whilst he was speaking to the press after Everton beat them, Martinez just turned to the reporter and went 'He was so nice last year when they won here'.
Man's a knob. A few years ago it was moderately entertaining but nah. Knob.

The guy who first came to England, was a different person than the one who came back.

He is an horrible arsehole. He used to a tually be more like the person he pretends to be.

Now it"s all an act.

The problem with Mourinho's childish comments is the media lap them up. If they're directed at us they will fucking love it.

The first thing he'll have to do is get shut of Giggs. The family man has coveted that job for too long to sit there with his cold dead eyes and say nothing. He will be whispering in corners and leaking things to the media. It will be utterly fucking toxic.

The non attending gobshites will lap it up even more.

He's a softarse when he gets beat. The rag fans are softarses when they get beat. It's a match made in heaven. They can all have a massive hissy fit together when they get beat. Mourinho going to unsold Trafford is piss funny. The rags think they've got the golden ticket with the eye gouger.

I honestly believe this appointment is their "Malcolm Allison the second time" moment (no disrespect to big Mal, the man is a god in this house and rightly so).

Exactly how I see it as well.

I'd also say that Ed Woodward's desperation to compete with our appointment of Pep is reminiscent of Swales's obsession with competing with the rags whatever the cost. It won't end well for them.

So, it's just me that thinks Jose is a good appointment for them?

He is a good appointment ...in the circumstances. They are used to negative football so if he can win stuff doing that, it's an advance. The rags had to react now or fall further behind. He will definitely improve them in the short run and the short run is where they are currently fixated.

We got Pep as a properly planned move. They got Maureen as an emergency measure. I know which I'd rather have. And I'm pretty confident which one will eventually leave his club better equipped for the longer run.

Let the fun commence.

Out of interest GDM how did you start supporting City?
My dad's brother was a blue.

My first ever game, my dad took me to old trafford. It was a UEFA Cup game in 1976 against Ajax. I still remember my dad wore a brown leather jacket. That said, I wasn't that arsed. I can't have been.

My dad had a shop near to town and I used to sometimes go there on a Saturday and his brother used to manage the shop. One day (I'd just turned seven at the time) he asked me if I wanted to go to watch City and I said yes. I clearly remember him lifting me over the turnstile to get in the Main Stand. It was the 18th December 1976.

I don't know why, but to me it felt totally different to old trafford. I guess I felt like I belonged there. It's a bit hard to put into words without sounding a bit wanky, but I felt entirely different when I walked in and saw the crowd. Kidd and Tueart both scored in a 2-0 win. My dads brother bought me a scarf from the souvenir shop after the game and I was hooked.

I've always had a difficult relationship with my dad when it comes to football. Both my other brothers are big united fans and both me and my dad are both hugely competitive. Sometimes the piss taking is utterly relentless. I've never discussed it with him, but I expect it's something he finds a little disappointing in me. My sister once told me when pissed that my support of City has been a constant source of bafflement to him, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Being a City fan is one of the things that defines me most as a person. Being the only blue in the immediate family was difficult at times, especially when they were all going off to Champions League finals together, but I never regretted it for a moment, and where City are now is all the more rewarding for me against that backdrop.
