The City thread on the Red Cafe General Football thread has strangely gone missing. It's either been removed, or it's dropped down a few pages. I wonder why?

Someone finally shouted ‘house’ and won the thread playing City bingo?

It's at the bottom of Page 4. Only 1 post since the day after we won the league.

They have got a thread on there congratulating themselves with achieving Champions League football with 3 games to go, how the mighty have fallen. They have spent shit loads on recruiting this season and have finished a country mile behind us, they were talking about being champions last August now champions league qualification and a cup final is success. Jose is becoming a specialist in failure like his cuckhold new buddy Wenger. Pogba is back to being world class after yesterday when hes returning nearly similar stats to Gundogan who isnt even first choice and will probably be one down the pecking order when whoever comes in to replace Yaya.

How they have finished second is beyond belief and the rest of the league should be ashamed at the amount of easy points they have handed over to them, my only concern for next year is if we dont get off to a good start and they do. They've been difficult to shift from 2nd but if we give them a head start they could be the turd that cant be flushed from 1st like when they won it in 2013.

Fuck them, you can set your watch to their silly behaviour to when they spend shit loads on July, get giddy after winning the first game of the season or which ever meaningless pre season friendly they win in America and when the onset of winter arrives there is the start realisation that once again they will come up short against City.

The fact that Fellani is getting a new contract tells you where they are going, I like forward with eagerness and anticipation to his testimonial in the coming years.

I watched their game yesterday. It is no wonder United fans moan about Mourinho. They were playing Arsenal reserves and still show no real ambition or plan. Other than crossing over and over again to Fellani

It's a bit like Salah's left foot though. He never scores with his right, but people continually let him shoot on his left.

If Utd can continuously hit diagonal balls into the centre or far post & for god knows what reason, nobody stops it or successfully marks the player on the end of it, they will continue to do it.

Its effective(ish) for them so I am sure they will continue to do it. That said, if I were a Untied fan(perish the thought) I would be wanting much, much more from a performance perspective. Their results, have been decent. They have beaten us, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool in the past few weeks

Yeah, but imagine paying good money to sit in that stagnant swamp and watch the sort of dross that Maureen serves up. I know I couldn't...and wouldn't.
I'm not saying all teams should copy us: free-flowing, stylish football, breaking records here and there. But you'd think just occasionally, given the money he's spent and the players he's got, Maureen would at least try and entertain the mindless drones that turn up there by playing a bit of attacking football, getting the crowds on their feet. But no, it's just long ball to A&E and hope for the best.

I detest the rags and everything they stand for, but how much more of his soul-destroying, anti-football are they going to stand for? They can't all be mindless zombies...can they?

My thoughts, exactly

I have no sympathy for them. None. But you can't help watching them and think 'how has it come to this?'. Are they that desperate for success that they are scared of anything remotely ambitious?

Let's have it right, most competent managers could have them up near the top with the players they have, they don't need to be an expensive Wimbledon

They have very few moves in their locker but the few they do have, with the help of bad finishing & bad defending on the part of their opponents, as well as extreme jamminess & shit refereeing, has put them om a decent run.

The extreme jamminess & shit refereeing will never change, so it's upto their opponents to stop their limited attacks & stop missing at the other end.

What Celtic did to Rangers, we should have done to Utd, the gap in quality in our game, was greater.

It's upto Utd's opponents, to kill them off.

You explained why he doesn't have to , he's only got to satisfy the " mindless drones " and there is a high percentage of their crowd who fit that description .

The fuckwits will settle for dross if they win trophies - it's their holy grail .

And the top 6 group should be looking to put such a limited team in their place . It is as much their failings that see the rags sitting in 2nd place.

Even now, long after the despotic pisscan himself has retired, teams still go to the swamp psychologically beaten because they know they are not going to get any decisions. They know they must be wary of tackling a rag for fear of a yellow or red card. They know that Herrera and bogbrush will be permitted to kick fuck out of any opposition players without any form of punishment. They also know that on the very very rare occasions a rag player ventures into the opponents penalty box he will throw himself to the ground in a spectacular fashion and the ref will oblige with resultant penalty.

How often have we seen teams totally dominate the vermin, outplay them, rain shots on goal only for DeGea or the woodwork to deny them, and then, when the rags have their one and only shot at goal, a lucky deflection puts it past the hapless opposition keeper and immediately shut up shop for the remainder of the game? They did under Gollum, they did it under Looney Louie, and now they're doing it under the king of dour football himself.

The best thing is they think they've had a great season.
They do indeed. The derby defeat might be a blessing in disguise as they think they are closer to us than they actually are. Their summer strengthening might be less than than they actually need as a consequence.

Didn't Lukaku proclaim recently that they were ready to challenge us again next season?
