I also know one or 2 match going reds and they are well pissed off to the point where they've stopped going to every game. Just like it was under van gaal and moyes....
Does that mean they are fair weather friends and would be happy watching the rags roll over relegation threatened teams. How many would stick with them if they were ever relegated.
 
They'd still get bigger crowds than us if they went down, mate.
I was impling more that the majority of football fans watch their team because it is their team and not because they win week in week out. When Pearce was our manager and the football was shite, we still followed our club. It was torture but he kept us in the league. As we are like a lot of other clubs, we have had our share of relegations and promotions. This had until recently toughened the fans up and we coped with our macabre humour.
The majority of the rags have only ever seen winning at all cost football and just like l'Arse dont have the ability to cope. This moment in time is the rags worst nightmare. Just as they are reverting to how they were between 69 and 91 we are playing breath taking football and we should win the league and are favourites for chumps league.
