This is literally the first time he hasn't been able to literally outspend any other team in the same league as him, and he's crying about it.

Is he not just basically admitting that he's not up to the job, then?
5 teams he outspent finished above him last season, that's the funny part.

If Mourinho's saying spending £300m is not enough, that's a message to the hierarchy that they need to spend more. Which, with the window open in a few days time, means some very interesting decisions will have to be made. With the faltering results, the general angst of the manager, the standard of football getting worse and worse, that could make for some quite tasty discussions over at Trafford.

Mourinho excuses so far......
Fixture pile up.
Other teams have an easier schedule.
Utd have a hard schdule.
Other teams have an easier schedule.
The refs don't like utd.
The refs favour other teams.
We haven't spent enough.
Others have spent more.
We should have had a penalty.
We should have had 2 penalties.
We should have had a penalty.
The ref didn't give us a penalty.
My team was childish.
My team played fantastic.
My team wasn't up for it.

He's tried the back me or sack me approach before with Abramovich. That ended well....

He's playing the money card now because he knows he won't be able to when Chelsea and Liverpool overtake them in a few weeks.
