We've only spent about £60m more under Pep. However considering we're just a good team and they are a great club with a 'fantastic rich' history and 650m more fans and every player this side of the Urals wants to play for them and referees want to be seen in a positive light by their fans and they have 'the special one' with all his tactical nous. Then surely all that negates the monetary advantage held by us

MUFC 2017 Revenue £581m. Net profit £39m. MCFC 2017 Revenue £473m. Net profit £1m plus Sheikh Mansour hasn’t put a penny in for 3 years. So why can’t they compete financially? Methinks someone’s making excuses for their own inadequacies.

Looking at annual player costs (wages + amortisation) for the last 3 years shows: 2015: MUFC £302m v £264m for MCFC 2016: MUFC £320m v £292m for MCFC 2017: MUFC £388m v £386m for MCFC (& that's for 13 rather than 12 months so probably closer to £350m). But they can't compete?

So they've got the money and they've certainly spent it but they've spent it badly plus their manager isn't getting the best out of what he's got. I wonder why the cowards in the media aren't pointing this out & challenging the eye-gouger instead of meekly reporting his tosh?
