United thread 2017/18

Aye, we all know it's the United boards job to force United fans to buy overpriced cup tickets, not Sevilla's.

Maybe some booked flights (from Thailand) before prices were announced. Like City fans do.

Do get me wrong I love a good slagging off of Utd but I’d want City to stand up for us in this situation too.

Scum charged Derby £45 for the FA Cup tie. A Derby fan told me that although clubs gave to agree the price of tickets certain clubs are always going to get their own way. In a firm of protest Derby refused the 9k+ allocation they were entitled to a took about 5.5k. The Derby chairman subsidised tickets by £15 to make the cost of them just £30 to the fans. What scum have done is quite rightly protested about the cost of tickets but then lost any moral high ground but doing exactly the same. The irony is that for many years they have charged fans excessive prices, especially fans of lower league clubs for cup ties. The hypocrisy and irony of the situation is totally lost on most

But arent Seville charging their own fans the same price as what they are charging rag fans?

If the rags charge Seville fans £89 then they have to charge their own fans same price if the seats are the same ie in the same stand so they will make extra money anyway.

Sure it’s not a typo?

He had a vindaloo and his arse was stinging so much he saw it as a sign to join the rent boys. But after seeing what was in the bowl opted for the rags?
That’s rational, and quite believable. I think you’re on to something.

Seems the general consensus amongst Bluemooners is 'fair play to the rags' (for increasing the Seville tickets).
Hang on a minute.... They're protesting that their fans are getting ripped off. Fine, they are. We all agree that. So they then proceed to act in the same abhorrent way towards the innocent fans of Seville by ripping them off in the exact same way. So we are judging this as 'fair do's'. Bollocks it is. The rags are just as bad as Seville 100% and in my opinion shows them up to be the classless bunch of cocks that I knew they were all along.
The correct way of dealing with it would have been to extend the hand of friendship to the Seville fans by charging no more than normal, no matter what they charge at the other end. Let the world decide what a disgrace Seville FC is but don't get tarred with the same brush which is exactly what the rags have done here.

Totally agree.

I hold my hands up and say fair play to them for doing that. The article suggests they tried to discuss a lower price initially but sevilla were having none of it so united took it upon themselves to look after their own fans first and foremost. Sure it's at the expense of other football fans but it's been made very clear it's a result of one clubs greed and all backlash will be directed towards sevilla and rightly so. We've been forced to pay similar prices against Spanish opponents in the past, it's about time somebody attempts to do something about it.hopefully we follow suit when we next draw a Spanish team or any other club looking to milk the away fans.

They could afford to subsidise their own fans without ripping off the innocent Seville fans, but no thecrags have to look as classless as usual and make the Seville fans pay for the rags. Fucking disgusting if you ask me, they could have come out of thiscreally well but are so piss poorly managed from top to bottom they’ve ended up looking like ****s.

Unless that's a Prem or FL ruling rather than a UEFA ruling. Just a possibility.
