This rivalry with Liverpool they keep going on about?
I got into football in the 60s and throughout the late 60s and 70s there was never any mention of this rivalry in football terms. There was the old nonsense about the dockers, but nothing about football until we decided to educate lower division teams as to how a football club should not be run.
That's the first time any East Lancs Road rivalry was mentioned AFAIK. Leeds had already gone down, Everton were in a lull so the media brought up this rags/dipper bollocks. It was as though the rags had to have some sort of rivals in the same division.
Do any of the even older gits recall this rivalry from the 50s or early 60s?

It was the pisscan who started it, AFAIK, when the rags were closing in on Liverpool's record number of top-flight titles.

It was also, IMHO, another way for the hard shoulder shitter to belittle us.

This might be the most blatantly biased piece of "journalism" I've ever read:

"We can get who we want"

Like Sneijder, Guardiola, Bale, Morata, etc. WTF.
The Rag's like to think players want to play for them but in reality the scummy clubs deluded desire for World domination has allowed agents to gain the upper hand and lumber them with classless shithoses such as Pogbad, Lumpkaku and Sunkchez.

Scummy fans;scummy owners; scummy club.

SCUM!

"Manchester United have been accused of showing a lack of respect to Cyrille Regis' memory after their players did not wear black armbands to mark the legendary footballer's passing.

Players for teams across the Premier League wore a black armband on their sleeve as a mark of respect to Regis, who died last week aged 59.

But United's stars did not take part in the gesture during their 2-2 draw against Burnley at Turf Moor"

2-2 Draw?

Ince is a know nothing Rag sycophant, if they were such a big draw, why have they offered £250 grand per week MORE
than City offered? There should be no need to discuss the wages, the same as City offered should ensure he goes to
them, right? No, you arse licking tosser, he and his agent smelled the desperation, nudged each other and decided
to bend Woodward and Co. over a barrel, he's gone there for the money, pure and simple, as he would have gone to Chelsea,
or PSG, had they made a similar offer.
