Utd were founded by Frederick Attock, who was a Scouser, so to me, this makes them a Scouse club, hence the rivalry & their biggest game being against Liverpool making much more sense. The problem is that none of their fans I’ve ever spoken to will acknowledge this as a fact, again, no self awareness about their own club. They really don’t seem to like being called Scousers or a Scouse club either, which is marvellous.
