Global reserves could almost double by 2050 despite booming consumption, oil major says
The world is no longer at risk of running out of oil or gas, with existing technology capable of unlocking so much that global reserves would almost double by 2050 despite booming consumption, BP has said.

When taking into account all accessible forms of energy, including nuclear, wind and solar, there are enough resources to meet 20 times what the world will need over that period, David Eyton, BP Group head of technology said.

"Energy resources are plentiful. Concerns over running out of oil and gas have disappeared," Mr Eyton said at the launch of BP's inaugural Technology Outlook.

So who will they get for shi(r)t sponsors when the oil runs out? At the moment, their shirts have a sanitary towel logo on the front - I believe a American car producer. Unless. of course, all the cars beome powered by electrickery. But what provides the power to generate the elecricity to charge them?

I think you’re incorrect there GDM. They are rivals. Always have been and always will be. Utd were founded by Frederick Attock, who was a Scouser, so to me, this makes them a Scouse club, hence the rivalry & their biggest game being against Liverpool making much more sense. The problem is that none of their fans I’ve ever spoken to will acknowledge this as a fact, again, no self awareness about their own club. They really don’t seem to like being called Scousers or a Scouse club either, which is marvellous.
