You may be thinking of Palace. After Eddie saved their last minute penalty Kev got the ball and started racing up the field on his own when Puncheon went through him. It was a red card all day long but he got only a yellow. His season ending cruciate injury was Karma though.
The palace cb also tried to bring him down.
He also, ended up injured, out for the season or at least a good while.

I think it is genuine story to an extent. All clubs have fairly long lists where they will make enquiries to start whittling down to targets, I think some sort of call was made to generate this reporting. However you would think they must have some better options on their list. I accept on his day he is a handful but for every 1 good game he has 2 bad. I just don't see how he fits for them, they have the best big lump striker in the league (if that is what you want). Are they after a back up big lad? I believe it I just can't work it out.
Every time I’ve seen him play, he’s been a handful.
I do think he’s a decent player, puts in a shift, has pace to burn and creates chances on his own.
He’s better than what they have and probably cheaper than what they can get.
He would thrive under Mourinho as he did under Moyes, similar style.

That’s a myth.

Aren't the vast majority of shirt sales covered by the upfront payment, to a given number of sales? At best, they just get a small fraction for first (insert number here), before getting a small percentage of additional sales, but most is already accounted for.

They get nothing for the first three million or so. Their £75m per year is because they sell that many every year.

Shirt sales make up virtually nothing for them as they’ve already been paid on it as you say.

I can't see the Arnatouvic link being genuine. He's not up to it in terms of talent for a start never mind his lack of consistency

No doubt though if they do get him then he will be the 'new Cantona'

He is perfect - they run through the " Gareth Bale for £125- 150m + £500k per week " story to sell the ST's then at the end of the window assuming Bale doesn't let the cat out of the bag they don't get him for some sort of reason which sounds like " never wanted him anyway" and sign Arnatouvic for £35m + add ons. Classic rag deal.

I can't believe their still falling for this one.

Funny though isn't it.
