United thread 2017/18

I've read the evening news tonight. Its now been generally accepted by all United fans that 'park the bus' football is necessary if you want to win games. Their imagined 'ethos' of United flying down the wings playing attacking expansive football is now consigned to the scrap heap. His racehorses will not be able to run free down the motorway in case they get clattered by Peps juggernaut. Shire horses are the future (new contract for Fellaini).

Having scored 4 goals on five occasions this season, and it's only late September, I'm more surprised that this is being classed as 'park the bus' football???

I said it in the other thread but they're the Harry Kane of teams for me. In that, put them up against a weaker side and they'll look extraordinary (Credit to them in fairness). Really really good. Ruthless. And the media will be fapping off like crazy to them.

But when the going gets tough..

Based on tonight's result I think its fair to say they will be CL contenders this season.

This is what 'easy starts' are designed to engender, confidence and momentum.

Memories are short, I see no reason why the replacement of ibrahimovich with lukaku and the addition of Chelsea reject Matic should take the rags from 6th to champions.

The heavy defeats of West Ham and Swansea were both earned by late game collapses. The only relatively strong teams they have played in Stoke and Southampton have shown their true level. Too many blues ready to jump on the rag infested media bandwagon for my liking...
