Did they play a prime Barcelona last night? You'd think so reading some of the fawning reports this morning.
CSKA were worse than Feyenoord yet that result was dismissed as cannon fodder.

The biggest joke is that the rags' pot 1 team, Benfica, lost at home to CSKA and last night got battered by Basel. All working out nicely for the rags to top the group and in the last 16 draw some overachievers who finished second in their group. Last time they made the last 16 (4 seasons ago) they drew a shit Olympiakos side (at home second leg of course) and only just managed to stumble past them.

CSKA are crap but they created three or four good chances against the rags last night, the dounought thief saved them. We know by now the rules regarding the media, every victory by them is a masterclass and ours are downplayed or marginalized in the small columns. They are a threat now after a few years in the wilderness but they are too big a club to have stayed down there for long, it was fun while it lasted though.

Usual claptrap from moan a lot about Lukaku.
Mourinho.

"Without a good team it is not possible and the team is playing well. They are amazing numbers for Romelu. He is humble and wants to learn and improve all the time.

Erm, he has scored goals for all teams he has played for!

I don't see them as a threat at all. But also I don't see any kind of seismic catastrophe happening in the very near future for them either...more's the pity. But what I do see is a team that lacks the stability it had under the pisscan, and I don't see it returning any time soon. As we all know Peg is a 'here-today-gone-tomorrow' manager: never sticking around for more than a couple seasons. The rag hierarchy will obviously have been aware of this before his appointment was announced, and I think both they and Maureen are using one another as a stop-gap: a sort of, "it'll do for now" attitude for both parties. Hence the instability.

Us (Pep), Chavs (Contè) and Spuds (Pocchettino) are here for the long haul: I'm sure of that. And it will be these three teams will dominate English football for the next few years. Klopp I'm not sure of, but I think Koeman will not be around for much longer, and Wenger is preparing to move 'upstairs' with the Gooners.
As things stand the rags are nowhere near the standard set by ourselves and the other two mentioned teams, nor will they be for the foreseeable future.

Personally, I see nothing but long term mid-table mediocrity for the vermin.

I wish but I don't see it. Moan a lot will grind out results, it won't be pretty but it will be successful. They were even worse last year and won two trophies, three if you count the charity shield which they do when they win it.

I buy into all of that, but I'm unsure about Conte being in for long haul,he looks like another, that if things start to go against him,he'd be looking to get off asap,a smacked arse twat what I mean there
