They're six points clear of 5th but they have Chelsea next. If they drop points to Chelsea and Liverpool they'll be in a battle for 4th and City could be the team that kills their CL hopes.

Mata is still their best player, apart for the keeper, and he's nowhere near the standard for our team. That's how far they are behind

Nope. They will be in a top 4 race for the rest of the season. None of the top 6 (expect us), are good enough to pull far ahead.
