So is there any truth to the stories in the tabloids about Mourinho? I'd take what the gutter press say as a pinch of salt but from time to time clubs do feed them stories so there may be something in it.
Even if the articles are pure speculation, what can't be doubted is that Mourinho is not coming across as particularly happy. If he wants out, there's no way he's walking of his own accord though and giving up the chance of a pay-off. He'll get himself sacked instead. I've said it before but I think he deliberately got himself sacked by Chelsea a couple of years ago because he was picking so many unnecessary fights right from the start of the season when it all kicked off over the Eva business, and it just carried on from there. I must admit that I didn't think it would come to that at United as he's coveted that job for years but perhaps he's realised that working there isn't all that and if he can do it to a club that he is clearly fond of like Chelsea, he can surely do it to United.
