Just seen a clip of Mourinho's presser on Sky, amongst clips of all the various other managers.

Talk about the 'ghost at the feast'. Fucking hell.

Loving his 'not slept since last Sunday' look, though, I must admit. Black baggy eyes.

Or possessed by the Devil perhaps. Pure evil.

Pellegrini never looked that bad.
Funny they have a player nicknamed red rom when the manager's bouncing round The Lowry like Jack Torrance.

Maureen's running on empty. I thought so back when he began his second spell at the Chavs, something about his demeanour just didn't sit right: he was a very different man to the smiling, charismatic 'rent-a-quote' young upstart who had rolled up at Stamford Bridge a few years before. Maybe the way his managerial experiences abroad ended cut him down a 'Peg' or two? Maybe he's just had enough and he's going through the motions at the swamp?
I believe this will be his last stint as a manager. I genuinely do. He's burnt so many bridges it's hard to see who would want him now. Would-be clubs looking for someone will see what he's done with the millions and millions he's blown on the vermin and think: "Fuck that! Billion dollar hoofball? No thanks." And all his eyelid-fluttering to PSG will come to nothing, except show him to be the treacherous cûnt everybody knew him to be.

I think we have overtaken them on and off the pitch. All I was saying was that if they ever decided to emulate what we have done strategically, it would take them a similar timescale to achieve. In the real world all I can see is them continuing on their current trajectory. Throwing money at new toys, sacking managers every couple of years and maybe picking up the odd minor trophy. In 3 years time the gap between us will be even greater than it is just now.
Or to coin a well-known phrase by their former manager: "We have knocked them off their perch."

He's never looked right since he joined them to me. All that stuff at the beginning about his family refusing to move to Manchester and living out of a hotel. He's supposedly always wanted to manage them but he's never looked like he wanted the job imo. That coupled with the knowledge that his methods are becoming increasingly obsolete. It's no wonder he looks haunted, he's essentially yesterday's man at yesterday's club and he knows it.

I’m just waiting for karma to make Pogba’s legs fall off.

Keep hearing about how Pep inherited a much better squad than Maureen, pretty much entirely because he's managed to improve and get the best out of some of the players he inherited while Maureen has only managed to get a tune out of the tallest ones. Take a look at the players he inherited and imagine what Pep would have gotten out of them. That King Louis team had stacks of incredibly highly rated attacking young players, all of whom have now gone backwards or been fucked off under Mourinho

Just before we went out on delivery this morning, I put on my City hat, as it was bloody freezing.

One of the rags shouted, "Take that off, it’s offensive!"

I simply replied, "Mind the gap!"

Yet the beginning of last season Sterling was crap, De Bruyne a Chelsea flop, Silva finished, John Stones a liability, Otamendi(see Stones), Kompany past it, geriatric fullbacks, Ilkay constantly injured, and the less said about Joe Hart...

Now, all of a sudden, Pep has inherited the Harlem globetrotters. They don't half talk shite.

Yup. Had the squads been reversed you'd be hearing about how Pep inherited young world beaters in Shaw, Martial, De Gea, Rashford, Herrera, Depay, Januzaj, Jones, Rojo, Darmien etc and "everyone always knew Juan Mata was the best player in the league". Meanwhile poor Peg would be bemoaning that he only inherited over the hill dross like Clichy and Fernando.

Cracking post!

He's like the world class sprinter who peaked at the same time as Usain Bolt. Yeah, he gets the odd win, but he's ultimately going to be overshadowed by going up against one of the all-time greats. He's Don Revie to our Brian Clough. The Damon Hill to our Michael Schumacher. Let's be honest, in any other season, their record is nothing to be ashamed of. Admittedly, they should be ashamed of the shite football they play in any season.
