Not sure what the point of the first sentence is.
At least NYC have somewhere to play and some players. Beckham doesn't have any of that.

How long did it took NYC to be in that situation? Not very long did it. So I expect this Beckham team to be in it relatively soon.
Do I bother? Not a bit. I simply reacted because I think your statement shows you apparently have a blind side to what happened at NYC.

Fair enough. I wasn't particularly thinking of NYC (I've not paid much attention to them) - my recollection was of a report last night that said 4 years for Miami to be up and running.

Yes many clubs have fans all over the world, but not many of them to pretend to have an inside take on the opposition's comings and goings and then pass it off as 'sports writer'
