Never, ever discount the favourable draws they get in cup competitions.
I don't mate, but there's no such thing as a favourable draw from the quarter-finals of the Champions League onwards and there's no draw for the FA cup final.

If Carlton put as much effort into his game as he does his dancing, dab dab and social media , he would be world class. But like a lot of Rag players , its all about image there is no substance , they might have a couple of decent games on the trot , score a worldy and then in some cases get the statutory England cap , but basically they are mostly SHITE.

Is it just me or am I seeing a completely different Pogba to the midfield general who controlled Juventus?
The contrast is glaring, not that I give a shit, but I still think there's a player in there, somewhere.
Perfect example of someone believing their own hype.

The biggest issue was that the italian league plays at a slower pace amd he had Pirlo and others around him that made him look a hell of a lot better than he actually is.

His coming to the premiership has shown what limited ability and tactical awareness he actually has

It's fair to suggest we've will win the league after last night, our next target has to be either win it against them or do it the game before for a guard of honour....what a time to be blue, all that pain from 1970.....just knew eventually it'd be worthwhile ;)

So true.

I look at my dad these days. My frail old man. Took me to my first game when I was six and took me for many years after that.
The joy this team has given us, given my dad, this last ten years has made up for all the pain we suffered together.

Without being morbid he won’t have too long left my dad. My only dream now is for him to see city win the European cup (he still calls it that) with me sat next to him.

I tell you what blue, if that happens I’d never complain about anything for the rest of my life.

I love this club. I really do.

You clearly don't remember the year Maureen won it with Porto. They beat Lyon in the quarters, Deportivo in the semi's and Monaco in the final.

Ha ha ha this Yank is upset more because Jose has just blown his chance for manager of the month!
Claims he spent most of the match looking for a stream. It was on NBC you twat!!!!

Fucking hell, is that an adult man with a fucking piece of Harry Potter tat on his wall?

And by playing open, expansive football...

Less clubs from the top 5 leagues qualified back then. Go look at the second round draw and find me a Lyon/Deportivo/Monaco with a decent chance of progressing. The tie everyone will want the winner from is probably Roma v Shaktar, both are brilliant teams.

Since the media is struggling to find a way to give the rags the league they've named them the winners of the transfer window instead.

So the big winners showed their mettle in getting dominated by Spurs and the big losers lengthened their lead to 15 points with a dominating performance against West Brom. If only City were as good as the rags...

Posting before the game is over - on line equivalent of leaving early "to beat the traffic" ?

As a Yank I can say without fear of contradiction that Yank rags are THE least knowledgeable footy fans around, period. I mean it isn't even close. I have thoughtful footy conversations in my office with Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool and Juve fans . . . we collectively laugh at rag fans; they are invariably fucking clueless about the sport.

I will say that all the American fans of foreign sides that I know are far more likely to moan about their team's fates than the English/Italian fans of the same clubs -- much more cynicism here, maybe Trump-driven, I don't know.

Talkshite were reporting yesterday that they were top of the on-line league in China !! They have to win something FFS.

Still I suppose winning that league will secure them sponsorship with China's #1 bicycle tyre supplier or something

I reckon most people will be eyeing up the winner of rags/Sevilla tbh, neither team will scare anyone decent. Roma and Shaktar on their day can do some damage at least

Spot on that mate. Also the Italian league is not the same quality of football as the prem. In italy he was a big fish in a small pond.

Yeah left that tie out due to the topic, don't underrate Sevilla though, they can blow hot and cold but when they're on it they can blow teams away.
Ignoring those two ties you're realistically looking at the following -
Chelsea or Barca
Real or PSG
Juve or Spurs
Liverpool
Bayern
City

Thanks to the "locking in" that increased qualification places in the top 5 leagues has caused there's no more runs like Porto's, if there's a dark horse/unlikely team in the quarters or semis, it's because they've beaten an elite team or two and earned their place. Even Shaktar and Roma have already knocked out Napoli and Atleti.
