Still working fine for me. But this is the post that link, er, links to;

Thanks. Probably my browser.

Read the same stuff a thousand times before, but never gets old or less funny. Though succinctly captures the "key points" rather well I suppose.

They don't remember their own history pre-1992 at all do they. Or that two years back most of their own fans would have preferred Pep (and not without justification given what has happened since)

If City were to win the league before the derby, then surely liam and Noel could put their hatred for the rags above their dislike for each other and whip up the atmosphere with a few belters on the pitch before the rags give us our guard of honour. Maximum exposure

Lets hope it's a rerun of the 3-3 game Palace and Dippers played out justbefore we took the title in 2014. That was literally the most hilarious game ever. I'll never forget how the scouse kept running back to the halfway line after each of their three goals.
What a day.

My Dad is 80, used to go to Maine Road post war, Old Trafford to watch City reserves, was at Newcastle in '68, was at all three League Cup finals in the seventies, and I took him to Wembley in 2011. He's a retired fan. He doesn't go any more, he's paid his dues, and he doesn't keep up with the minutiae of the game.

But he cried with laughter when I showed him this. Said they were always that way. Lovely!

A thought for the day, it’s when rather than if City will win the league this year. The last 3 Manchester City managers will have all lifted the league title during their time at the club. Only one of the last ten Manchester United managers has won the league title.

Shows them for what the are, nothing special apart from when Fergie was in charge even when they have had more money than anyone else.

From an Irish forum with no hint of irony:

City are miles better than any other team in England at the moment but I would never congratulate them on winning something or even acknowledge them as rivals. They used to love having a go at United because OT is not technically in Manchester, yet the only local thing about their club now is the address. No Manchester born players near their starting XI, their stadium is called after an Arab airline, a stadium which they were given for free. Everything they have ‘achieved’ has been inorganic and basically handouts. There is nothing the club that was there before 2007 can be proud of.
I can acknowledge that Pep is doing a great job, that the players there are great players, but I wouldn’t give the real Manchester City FC any credit whatsoever.

What a day.

I was sat in work with a fellow blue watching this I don’t think I’ve ever cheered another game of two teams I don’t support so much, when that final palace goal went in we went nuts, belting game and goofy biting bastard crying at the end was brilliant as was slippy Gs face, when he realised he’d never lift that trophy.

Exactly, there is no such thing as "the united way" It's a myth. They just had a very good manager for a long period of time with the most money and virtually no competition. Now that time has passed and they are just like every other club.
