United thread 2018/19

I think so too. He actually played well and in a performance that was egregiously poor by United, he embarrassed himself less than anyone else. Having said that, Pogba would have linked the play more. They struggle to create without him because Fellaini is more static. He is more defensively solid than Pogba but cannot create the way Pogba does.

It isn't an excuse, though, because we were missing Kevin DeBryune as well. You adjust and play your game.

As you said, the structure of their team is poor but Mourinho seems to love the idea of giants who could cue up in the opposition box and get something out of a match even when they're outplayed. In the long term, that's not a winning strategy and it isn't the way to maximize results.

You cannot play defensive football for 75 minutes and then hope to get something by launching long balls towards big men in an opposition box, through set pieces. It's a poor strategy and there's a reason they're trailing us by 12 points and trail 4th placed Spurs by 7 already.
Talk about fookin agricultural football.....PEG is a dinosaur

How best to beat Pep - feat; Pearce , Townsend and Boyd lol - I am guessing Boyd and Townsend have a lot to say and Pearce just scratches his head a lot ha ha ha

Having said that Townsend seems to think Pep signed Mangala - 2 years before he came to City !!! Lazy so called journalism

Whats with the obsession with stopping us,no mark pundits and failed managers who have won fuck all thinking they can outdo pep,it's laughable

I don't rate him, either. He wouldn't fit us and surely we're the benchmark? He'd be okay in a mid-table team, or a yo-yo side, but a side aiming to be able to compete with us? Not a chance.
He's at his level where he is: playing for the rags. Same as A&E, Luke (Robbie Coltrane) Shaw, Phil (is-that-the-real-Tom-Cruise-or-what?) Jones, Paul (Emile Heskey) Pogbad or any of the other misfits at the swamp.

The alpaca was downright bloody awful in the World Cup, and he hasn't upped his game since. The only reason people use the words 'world class' in any sentence that mentions him is because of the club he plays for, definitely not for his abilities.
Generally a great shot stopper but not the all round modern keeper

When Mourinho arrived there, they had a squad which usually finishes towards the top 3rd of the league, a selection of players who have won trophies in the past, some young players to beef up the squad & an absolute shitload of money to spend. And the so called 'Special One' to sort it out. Should be easy.

Yesterday, his two recent big signings, were both on the bench, along with his hugely expensive centre forward. His main centre back, who he signed for 30 million pounds, wasn't even in the squad.

He is now bemoaning the absence of his other enormously expensive signing, as being crucial, this being the same guy he hooked off the pitch a month or two ago, because he was shite.

His best performing player, was a player signed by David Moyes.

He had absolutely everything going for him, to be the main challenger to City & Chelsea & has fucked it up. Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea & even Arsenal, are all threatening to become a level above.

It's fucking ridiculous that the media are quietly shuffling around in his presence, barely daring to ask anything controversial or to pick up on the utter shite he is coming out with as excuses & pull him up on it.

This is Frank Clark level management, but with huge resources.
Defo..good post..

I don't understand why so many of the rag fans are accepting it.

It's like they have assumed that because Ferguson wasn't sacked when he deserved to be & ended up a success, every other manager will do the same, if you leave them to it. Gary Neville seems to think the same when you hear him talk.

The problem with that plan, is that this c.unt has been here 3 years & still lives in a fucking hotel.
They have gone backwards this season under PEG

I thought that the three of them was very complimentary of us, Pearce was very frank about when he was at West ham and their preparations to play us, all three of them was bigging us up there and saying how good we are.
Not a mention of how to beat us.

He was more of a History and Drama student.

Won't bother putting a link up but there is an article in the MEN in which Maradona states that PEG is a better manager than Pep. He says that he has a lot to leatn in management and that he will be asking Mourinho as Pep has been handed everything on a plate.

Proof, is proof were needed, that drugs don't work
think Maradona should stick to what he knows best - buggar all these days
