Charlton has prepared for arrival of young boys training at the swamp the evening.
Pretty sure that's just Luke Shaw and Lukaku's halftime snack being delivered

Wow, i have just read the latest page in the Man City discussion thread over on the Caf,

I understand that people have their own opinions by some of the reasoning over there left be bewildered.

This one's a belter:

"Do people not remember how bad the bottom ten or so teams were in the premier league in the 'top 4' era?
I understand how people feel about Sir Alex Ferguson, but non of his best teams can keep up with a Guadiola team over the course of the season. His teams were notoriously slow starters which is enough to end the title race by December agaisnt this City side."

"Possibly. But then again Sir Alex never got a blank cheque to spend 50 million on third fullbacks, centre backs and wingers either. And this is coming from someone constantly telling United fans to give Pep his due credit for the footballing /coaching job he does. He is an incredibly good coach. However, when the discourse moves to all time teams, the hand he's been dealt has to be considered too."

Casually forgetting that Wio Ferdinand would cost a whopping £136.3M adjusted to current market value. Muppets!!!

Palister was an English record fee for a defender at the time, I think, and Veron was hardly bought with buttons!

Just got talk sport on ....I didn't know the bloke who got onto the utd pitch against Juv in the champs league didn't have a ticket and had plastic guns !!! That as well as flake bombs ....the club is a joke....

Did they not get fined for that off UEFA? How about their two late arrivals... at home... it was all over the press when they fine us!

I saw a belter on there that Ronny Johnson was a better centre half than Laporte, on that logic David May is better than Kyle Walker. They talk about how poor this league is at the moment, Liverpool are undefeated and 2 points behind us, Chelsea suffered their first loss this weekend and then Spurs are in close proximity too.

Any rag that dismisses the premier league as being poor due to City's spending needs to realise that this is the most expensive United side ever with a bigger wage bill than City's and they sit in mid table.

They spent an absolute fortune trying to win their first title in twenty eight years or whatever it was. Pallister, Bruce, Robson, Cantona etcetera, all that has been airbrushed from history. I wonder how much that tile winning side cost in today's monetary value?

All came from money earned or 'organic growth' apparently. In other words Martin Edwards taking them public and getting outside investment, whats the difference to one person putting his money where is mouth is compared to many people putting their money in?
