This suggestion that somehow English football is weaker nowadays is absurd. We have just had a World Cup where Premier League players dominated with more English-based players in the semi-finals (in all teams) than any other nation. England has its best crop of young players for 50 years.
At the current results rate the team in fifth place here will end the season with 80 plus points, more than the Rags treble-wnners achieved in 1999.
Last year Liverpool finished second but reached the Champions League final. Redcafe really is an alternative universe.

I’ve heard the argument a lot. Fulham & Wolves have just spent £100+. As have West Ham or thereabouts.

Most of the league has experienced managers and mainly all international players.

Years gone by, the prem was made up of journey men. Look at some of the shite we had and we competed.

The teams in the PL with imagination have exciting internationals.

Put it this way, if Aston Villa had a 30 goal as season WC golden boot winner playing in the late 90’s there is literally no way United wouldn’t of signed him.

Sorry if it's already been posted but Custis has suggested that Roy Keane is sent in to Old Trafford to save United's season.

Let me understand this.

You get rid of a washed-up Neanderthal whose idea of man management is to rinse his players in public.

And replace him with a washed-up Neanderthal whose idea of man management is to rinse his players in public.

Right. Got it!
