Saudi Arabia? Human rights? Won't utd be accused of supporting a country that openly has public beheadings and hangings? Hmm how will the press report this little conundrum? And what will their cherubic, non fickle, non bitter fans respond to the horror of being funded by oil money?
Answers on a postage stamp please.

Premier league ffp stops teams spending big yearly because once you spent big with big wages unless you ofload players of the wage bill you cant buy all thanks to Gill.

Not true. The premier league FFP restrictions on wages allow you to grow your wages as much as you want as long as you've got a source other than TV/Competition money - ie commercial money. United's commercial arm is so big that they could outspend everyone else in the top 4 combined and be fine under FFP.

I've said this before, but I still can't believe anyone would think United & David Gill would allow and help create rules which would possibly restrict them in the future.

Corrected.

Well, Mr Castles, we need you to spread a more positive image of our country to the morons, sorry, masses of Manchesh Yernited supporters throughout the world. Could you please come into our Embassy in Johannesburg to iron out a few misunderstandings?

Surely nobody wants this to happen. We don’t want those cünts being able to vastly outspend us again - last thing we need now we’re closing the money gap is for one of the world’s richest men to pump money into the swamp! Hopefully the Sheikh will find better things to spend on.

I'd quite like it tbh. It'd be interesting to see how the press and their fanbase reacted on the human rights front.

Why didnt they spend in the januray sale? Lets see this summer hey I’ll bet that they will only spend 150m+ if they swap or ofload sell players.

I was in the pub watching the Newport game and got talking to a rag about football. (like you do) He gave it the old "I'm a big United fan, never missed a game home and away in the 70s, I was there when we got relegated in 72, I remember it well".

I contained myself with a wry smirk which I don't think he saw.

"You got relegated in 74 mate, you know, when Denis Law back heeled it into the net"

"No no, 72, I should know I was there".

"Would you like a pint on that mate?"

He paused for thought, and then declined the 'possible' offer of a free pint.

"How do you know what year it was, you're a city fan"..... Lol.

I'm sure all the human rights activists at the swamp who object would pin their colours to the mini rags and salford 92.

Considering that the rag supporting press are made up of the biggest collection of hypocrites I seriously doubt that aspect would be allowed to tarnish their opinions of such a takeover. Some positives would surely be spun in its favour.

Their fanbase of course would simply ignore the issue , as they do with everything which doesn't reflect well .

Because the glazers don't want to.

You've tried this exact argument before, and it still makes no sense. I say "United could spend as much as they wanted with Saudi owners" and then you say "I bet they won't spend £Xm this summer".

Yeah, no shit. I'm not saying the Glazers are going to drop 200m a year, I'm saying new owners less focused on profiteering could.
