Haha. This is your standard to determine what is a vanity project and what is not ?
One could say that the guy that doesn't attend the games is not really interested in the club and shares no passion with the football displayed by his team. And even then, could you tell me how many times you have seen the owner of PSG at the matches ? Or do you think Nasser Al Khelaifi is the owner ?

But the fellow is a Crown Prince of a Monarchy, he cant just, at a whim, decide to visit another country to watch a game of footie. Imagine the Security issues associated with that. Same goes with your guy.

Just done a bit of channel searching, to see if there's anything worth watching, tonight.

10:00 pm Channel 4. 100 Vaginas
I pressed the info button on my remote, and found it to be about ladies talking about their most intimate body part.
I thought it was going to be a documentary about two coach loads of Cockney Reds heading north on match day .

I agree and i have no problem with that.
Those guys are big shot and they have (hopefully) other stuff to do that to attend to the club in foreign countries.
I was just following my interlocutor logic.
Even when the owner is not a statesman but a big corporation boss, they tend to delegate and put a representative to do the job. This is why i didn't understand how he could label vanity for such basic and trivial things. But we both agreed to disagree about that topic. This is a forum and he has the right to keep his view. I just wanted to correct some misinformation because people tend to form an idea through hear-say of preconceived views. I think it is important not to come into a subject with prejudice, especially in the case of our clubs that are often wrongly accused (like when people tend to say City and PSG are doing "illegal" things whereas we have not broken any laws. FFP isn't a law and is tweaked each time to make sure PSG and City fail it. Why didn't they include punishment about those debt-ridden clubs instead of focusing on a break-even rule ? Because in that case PSG and City would rule and the cartels would be in the "illegality").

By the way, regarding the entire situation, it was funny to read Redcafe.
For people holding such strong moral compass, a lot of them where sooooo ready for a takeover by the Saudi. They shit all day on arab money when it is City and PSG but they are welcoming the worst of the lot : Saudi Arabia !
The fact a minister had to say that they don't intend to buy United is worrying though. You don't publicly deny like that for something that is not compromising if there is no intent.

I do hope you get picked up for some of the content in that post.

United fans just hate the fact that Pogba's reputation has taken such a bashing over the last couple of years. If he now gives a cross for a goal it suddenly becomes a world class cross....even though countless players do the same thing all the time. And that header tonight which was very average and should have been saved was described as just sensational.....haha!!!!. All he did in the second half was give the ball away and he got the MOM.
Pogba gets 10/10 for making a pass in a game that KdB makes 5 or 6 times in a game.

Wouldn’t take Pogba over a single one of our players.

Wrong attitude and a walking PR Stunt.
Performs well in 2 games a season and people start jacking off over him again. Crazy what you can do with media influence isn’t it?
I had a big disagreement with u over pogba couple years back...
You were right..i was wrong.he is shit. An over rated, over inflated , ego in a red shirt.i,d be embarrassed to be earning the money he is on ,to have been part of a team that was 7th for much of the season, but now the nasty manager has gone..i,ll start playing.it was all the previous managers fault obviously. Never mind playing for the shirt, your enourmous weekly wage.,or to justify the transfer fee...
It doesnt matter to me what he achieves for the rest of this season/career...he is arrogance personified, dirty, snidey,a born show off,and prone to down-tools-at the drop of a hat...so pleased we didnt sign him...and even more pleased that he is elated at being 4th,and possibly winning the bbc cup.
Light years behind City utd....light years.

I know, Pogba is the same level as KDB. They are both unstoppable when on form.

I'd be wary of comparing these types of players. There are so many factors that affect how each performs. The system they're in, the position they're played in (whether they're bring utilized the right way by the manager), the players around them, general form etc.

Sterling hasn't been as brilliant with England as he has with City. Neither has DeBryune, with Belgium. I think someone like Pep makes everyone look better as does Klopp at Liverpool.

I think that Pogba would be on a higher level if he were at City, having movement and runners like Sterling and Sane In front of him, rather than Donkeys like Lukaku. Or static forward-wingers like Mata.

But I still wouldn't start comparing them because it's so difficult to do and form fluctuates to significantly that people's opinions of the same player fluctuate almost whimsically. A player goes from world class to overrated overnight, if you read forums.

I genuinely don't think there's much in it when it comes to the top bracket of footballers. I don't think Kroos or Modric are necessarily that much better than DeBryune, if at all. Or that DeBryune is much better than Pogba, if at all. I think some are in a better situation to use their talents. Modric and Kroos help each other in a midfield of 3 where Casemiro does the dirty work. DeBryune plays for the best offensive manager in world foot all. Pogba plays for a nothing manager, and in an abysmal system. I can't imagine how good he'd look playing under Pep.
