What’s the underlying problem here with the rags? They didn’t want to play for Mourinho and got him out, now they’ve come to the end of their mini revival all the blame is being pointed at the players. I don’t know how much credence you can give to stories of splits in the dressing room between the Spanish speaking and English players. A top six side doesn’t lay down at Goodison park like that, it looked a strong line up for what Solksjar could have put out.

It can’t get any worse than this for the rags or can it? Who does he bring in on Wednesday as a lot of those players need to see the bench to get a reaction. Are we going to see him throw the kids in against a City side that is smelling blood as I don’t think picking the same side as yesterday will work.

It is because it is reactionary.

The difference with our club, is that everything has been done to reflect the long term vision of sporting and economic excellence. From the U7s they are taught to play with one pattern of play. The emphasis is on technique and that continues all the way to the first team. Most of our recruits have been young players, either first team ready or brought into the U18s to ready them for a career with us or elsewhere for a profit.

At United, the emphasis has been on the brand and the pursuit of share value. Consequently, as the team hasn't performed on the pitch, short term sticking plasters have been sought: big money buys on big wages, sometimes snaffled from under the noses of noisier neighbours, just to prove they are still the big boys in town. The recruits then slot in straight into the first team, with no specified pattern of play and often in unfamiliar positions; they have to play to financially justify their recruitment. They are a long, long way behind and it will get worse as younger fans around the world move away because of their lack of success. Why has it all happened? Sheer arrogance and complacency.

GPC will already have placed the ‘brown envelopes’ in the officials room.
The officials are the only thing worrying me about this game. I truly believe that they’re ALL in it together, colluding to get the dippers cünts over the line.

We have had a couple of stuttering performances lately, but if we are professional and clinical in front of goal, as Everton were, we should win this.
They WILL pack the midfield for sure, which is why we will need Dinho as I believe Gundogan isn’t strong enough unless we link him with Bernardo and Merlin.
Razza/Kun/Sanè need to be up top. Not sure what’s going on with Leroy as he looked like he was out for a kickabout with his mates v Spurs when he came on, hardly any defensive work. He’s got to be delivering the work rate like Bernardo.
I don’t care how we win, just win.

I’m sure there was a degree of putting a positive spin on things, but when Utd fans were celebrating Solsjkaer’s appointment they should’ve surely noticed that all rival fans were also delighted with the move. Their current malaise is by no means down to him, but it was patently obvious to most observers that he wasn’t the man to get them out of it. God bless Agent Woodward.
Yes, it was quite amusing.

‘We’ve got ole, he’s a legend, knows United way’

Err, yes, but he’s not a very good manager is he?

I recon He will put as many established home grown players in as poss, so I’d expect Lingard, Rashford and Mctominay, all to start so there’s 3....he will hope they play out of there skins because it’s a derby, the rest could be any of the other shite he has at his disposal
