They'll sign someone before the deadline, who or what, fuck knows. But they'll make a signing because they have to keep their name in the red tabloids, always. They'll sign someone like Ryan Shawcross and the media in this country will run the story 24 hours a day for the next month.

They will scrape top four, they will do what they do and scrape out dour one nil wins at the Swamp and pick off the shitter teams away from home. Only when they play a team with a decent finisher will they get some pain. Doing just enough to protect the revenue streams is all the Glazers want to do at the moment till they have more than reasonable doubt to bin off the manager, then they have to pay him off for £12 million whilst they pay off Moyes and Van Gaal all at the same time.

Then they have to go balls deep and find another manager and god knows how much they will have to spend to get some players in to fit the new mans needs, if its someone looking to play like City, Liverpool,Spurs and soon to be Chelsea do I cant really see someone like Matic and Pogba playing a high press turn the ball over in 5 seconds game.

They certainly will finish in the top four
Same as last season, they'll bore teams into conceding and will win several games more than comfortably, 3 and 4 nils
Against top four rivals, it'll be bus parking and trying to nick a goal on the break (this is good for us as they'll all be taking points off each other)
Chelsea are in turmoil
Arsenal are in new manager syndrome
Spurs are in a new stadium that'll feel like playing at a neutral ground

So that leaves us and Liverpool as the settled sides in positions one and two

You're all being far too harsh on United. This is difficult for them right now. City haven't said they want to sign anyone, and haven't targeted anyone in the transfer market. How on earth are United to know who to sign if City don't say anything?

Talkshite and sky are gutted. Moaninho doesn’t need to come out with excuses the 2 fat ladies Brazil and Sam doing that for him.

I see there seems to be some sort of insane theory floating around United forums that Jose's not been backed after receiving £350m to build a squad.

I wonder how much he'd actually need to be given before he's considered "backed".
