Nah he is the master of hoof ball they will love him. :-)

And I think he's close with both Ferguson and Mourinho. Given the latter's proclivities for playing hoofball, I can't say I'm completely surprised.

In comedy terms, no
In footballing results, yes

You're right! Nothing could possible top Mourinho in terms of drama and comedy, simply because it's as if he's if he's sabotaging his own team, trying to get a severence package. Some of his comments are truly diabolical. It's an example of everything you shouldn't do in management

My guess is they would go interim for the rest of the season rather than lurch into an immediate perm replacement. Even they must admit to themselves that their last three appointments were cock-ups.

If they get the next one wrong, they are heading for a serious loss of support among budding football fans. That in turn will impact heavily on the financials in the longer term.

So, in summary, do you mean give it to Bryan Briggs till the end of the season?

Bryan Briggs gonna pull one of his old injury tricks to get out of Wales duty and turn up healthy at the rags as new manager....

Jose must be rubbing his hands at the thought of getting sacked. No longer having to stay in a hotel in Manchester, back to his family in London loaded with cash from his payout. Sitting on the beach days later in a 7* resort somewhere thinking of the shit that’s been left behind. All while Pogba and ratty lingard are practicing their new dance routine and training. What a lucky bastard. To top it off, he gets to watch the next manager fail in getting United back to the top.

Does anyone honestly believe that if they had stuck with Moyes they would be any worse off?
I think Moyes would have done a good job by now, maybe regular top 3 finishers consistently.
Don’t forget it was him who bought in their current most important player in fellaini! Where would they be without him?

I'm going to have to make an appointment to see my GP. For some reason I'm walking about with a spring in my step. I have a smile seemingly etched onto my face, and I'm generally behaving like Scrooge on Christmas morning, after his ghostly visitations had made an impression on him.
I want to shake people by the hand and doff my cap in the direction of any passing ladies. I want to make 'cooing' noises to babies in their prams, and fuss over people's dogs in the street. I want to fill the world with joy unbound whilst shedding a lone, melancholy tear when singing Louis Armstrong's: 'What a Wonderful World'.

I wonder what my GP will diagnose?
Cityitis

That, my friend, is an exaggeration. The united squad, player for player, is very good. They need a leader. A man who united them to succeed. Mourinho is too argumentive to be the leader they need.

Remember when Zidane took over, Madrid where in a similar position. Rafa was not getting on with the squad of players, especially Ronaldo.

I hear this a lot... other than De Gea, none of their players would even be in consideration for our starting 11. And only a few would make our squad. Their defence is awful, need 4 new players. Pogba is bang average at best. Matic's best days are behind him. Fellani no comment needed, Herrera average clogger. So 2 players needed there min. lingard, rashford mid table players. Martial delivers nothing! Lukaku a lump, will get goals but never top draw. Sanchez legs gone, again best days behind him. So 2 players needed minimum up front. There in a right mess, a million miles behind us.

Madrid may have had issues with Rafa, but they also had 7 or 8 world class players. Marcelo, Ramos, Varane, modric, Kroos, Isco, Ronaldo, bale..... the Madrid situation was nothing like the Rags current plight...

If Moyes hadn't beet so eager to be seen as his own man and get rid of slurs backroom staff - he'd have had half a chance.
I think his biggest issue was trying to conform to "the United way". If he'd just stuck to being Moyes and just pumped long balls to Fellaini, then they'd have been fine, but he clearly lacked the confidence to play to his strengths. Maureen has shown that pumping it long to Fellaini, or hitting it to Fellaini at the back post, is a perfectly viable strategy and very had to stop. It's pretty much the only successful attacking strategy he has. But poor Moyesy didn't want to be seen as doing that

And even then, you're being very generous. De Gea simply isn't suited to the requirements of being a goalkeeper in our team.

The way we play, there's no way I'd get rid of Ederson. But De Gea is a top draw keeper. It would be the only debate for me, I didn't mean I'd go with the donut thief though...

Not much fun to be had on the rag sites these days, it was more fun when they still had hope.

Now it's gloom, doom and despair with an occasional flurry of headlesschickeness, that peters out to gloom, doom and despair.

Waited a long time for this, savour every moment of despair.
