Having undermined his coach in the Summer with his comments on Man Utd's transfer activity, you'd have thought the Utd board would be well down the road to making an alternative appointment, but although there have been the odd report of links to other managers, it's largely quiet.

It makes you think that their CEO is not that media savvy. Really that should be an essential part of the job. At the time, I assumed that Woodward knew exactly what he was doing (because he quickly followed his transfer briefing with the Director of Football comment. Two comments which could be interpreted as a lack of confidence in the coach strongly suggested a board with a lack of confidence in their coach), but now it looks more like an error of judgement.

There's now a double header in that group: Utd play Juve home and away and Valencia play Young Boys home and away. I'd still back Utd to go through because Valencia's forwards looked very weak and Valencia lost at home to Juve. The group will be decided by the games between Juve, Valencia and Utd with Young Boys conceivably losing every game.

If Utd go out in the group stages of the Champions League that will surely trigger Mourinho's dismissal. I don't know what the bookie's odds on them failing to qualify are but they've put themselves under some pressure now (as we did - the difference City are better and most would have confidence in City turning the group around).

But he's not talking sense, he's bought into the Mourinho bullshit hook line and sinker, Woodward HAS backed the manager, to the tune of £450,000,000 Now if you go asking for more players after spending that amount don't be surprised if the answer is no! You can't buy centre halves, add them to the 4 you've already got then demand 2 more ffs.

They've bought piss poorly for a long long time, it's now biting them on the arse.

As for his comments about Martial (drive) and Rashford (did well) he must really be watching a different game than me. If rushing to take corners and free kicks then doing fuck all with them is 'doing well' i'm as good as Maradona!!

What he should have said is.....people have died for this club,and after their deaths,their families were kicked out of their club homes....
As another poster has said..utd have always been toxic, they killed the fa cup by deciding not to participate one season,destroying years of history and tradition,their ex owner bankrolled that club selling toxic meat to school children,geogie best,s Liver was.... toxic,as was rooneys breath when he used to turn up pissed up for training ,we can only really speculate on dopey wios failure to provide a urine sample.
and the only word i can find to describe the atmosphere at ryan giggs family annual christmas meal is.......Toxic.

Spot on! The guy is clueless,and like a lot of reds,just likes to hear his own voice.he chats nonsense.
Anybody who thought rashford did well last night is deluded-the lad played like Bambi on ecstasy.

Think I prefer that they drew rather than lost because there’s no one moment for them to lament. It’s just 90 mins of meh.

On the other hand I could see them getting a lucky deflection from their huffball which would have papered over it all. That’s all they have. The hope of a short term illusion.
