In other news, David Moyes's 6 year contract at Utd comes to an end in a week and a half. It is thought unlikely that his contract will be renewed.

Can’t see the Glazers selling - they have a cash cow that pays out year on year - why give that up. They have an asset that effectively cost them nothing - because the leveraged deal meant the club borrowed the money to buy itself. Love the Gazers.

They play a mini tournament with Leeds in Perth in a few weeks, the local news channels are ramping up their blatant sales pitch and its horrendous. Tonight we had to put up with numerous goals from when they were good, bumper crowd scenes from when they were good with the newsreader doing the tour of the swamp and the tour guide gleefully telling him and the camera how it’s always filled to the brim and season tickets are dead mans boots. We were then treated to an inside view of where the family man and his teenage terror buddies used to sit in the changing room.
Next we moved to the Optus stadium here in Perth where they’d assembled about ten Aussie rags and a token Irish one to sing a rag song and taste a new rag beer brewed especially for the tournament.
Not once did anyone in the newsroom utter the immortal words ‘but they’ve been shit since Ferguson left’
